It's a cult. They extort their followers and force them to choose church over family. It was started by guy who admitted he started it to make money.

My old teacher was a relative of a guy who was high up in the scientology organization. She hates scientologist a lot and has never watched a Tom Cruise movie because of that.

She's a really open minded person but draws the line when it comes to scientology and always warns us about them

Scientology. The group that believes that we were dropped onto Earth by the rest of our people that live on another planet and will at some point come back in their ship to get us. I have no idea why people think Scientology is weird......
