Kaname Kawabata (Chemistry) and his wife to divorce

On the 5th of May, it was announced on his fanclub site that Kaname Kawabata of Chemistry (34) and his wife, model Miki Takahashi, would be getting a divorce.


 


Takahashi and Kawabata met when she appeared in Chemistry's PV "This Night" back in August of 2007, and they began dating shortly after. The two got married in March of '08. They have a 4-year old daughter together.


 


Kawabata posted a message on the site.


 


"I have some news for everyone. After a long discussion between the two of us, we have decided it is for the best that we get divorced at this time. Rather than staying together, we will fulfill the roles of "father" and "mother" as two seperate people. From now on as artists, we believe there are further possibilities and I want to put lots of effort into musical activities."


 


He ended the note with, "Thank you for all your support going forward."

Heartbreaking to hear that Kaname and Miki are getting a divorce after all of these years. Wishing the best for both of them but Kaname may be able to put this experience into 0, which would further the emotional impact of his debut full length. Wasn't Let's Say I Do and White Lovers written about Miki?
