Haven't listened to Clammbon in quite sometime but they've always had such a unique sound to them especially during JP and Dramatic. Ikuko Harada has such a sweet voice and her piano playing skills were always wonderfully incorporated into their music. Mito, Itou and Ikuko always had such chemistry as a band and have released some wonderful records throughout their career. Waiting for them to release another full length because I've already listened to 2010 way too much. Was much too happy when I found out that they made the opening record for Shirokuma Cafe, which probably bough them a bit of exposure to a much younger crowd that didn't know them before.

american ones are better

which ones ?

When I think of American indie I think of Death Cab for Cutie, though it's hard to consider many of them 'indie' since they end up getting so popular and mainstream (which is a good thing though). This was the case with Radiohead.

I'm still in early stages of exploring J-Indie, but these were nice recommendations.

Especially love the live concert vids, it's really best way of showcasing their talents.

You should come and visit us in The Official JRock Thread! We are all quite fond of independent music and post various styles of rock and artist that may peak your interest especially if you are in your earlier stages of exploring Japanese Rock/Indie.
