My ipod is having problems charging

It has always been working fine and charging perfectly but today i plugged it in and it won't charge. I checked to see if it's the outlet i use that isn't providing enough electricity by plugging it into other outlets but that didn't work. I also tried using different chords that my siblings have and those won't charge it either. I also turned it on and off to see if that would help. And it FINALLY started charging when i plugged it into my computer using the original chord that i use but one problem is that when i move the chord a bit it will stop charging and then it would start charging again. I don't know if the computer will be able to charge it for very much or how long it will last this way.

does anyone know why it won't charge properly anymore? I would love some help :)

i have tried other chords and they won't work on the walls either. and why is it dangerous?

Possibility for electrocution or catching fire.

If it's not the cord it might be the mechanism that funnels the power into the battery, or the charge port, or the actual battery itself. Is your device still under warranty? You should contact customer support, one of those parts malfunctioning could be dangerous too.

You should take it to the Apple store to check the connector pins, if all else fails. My old iphone broke because I'd bent some of the connector pins from shoving my charger in too hard, and so it wouldn't charge anymore.

if it stops charging on the computer i guess that's what i'll have to do. Thanks for the advice!!
