^Having heard the full song elsewhere on Nicovideo, this is utterly beautiful, and is reminiscent of some of their older ballads while also sounding new and current for them in some ways.  Just ... nice work.

Good, because you'll have to talk about it on next week's Chart review post on Arama.  :P  Though I'm a bit surprised, since you're not usually the type to be the biggest fan of ballads.

Yeah - they really couldn't have done a better job conveying the sentiment that the song is aiming at, plus, "You were here" reminds me a lot of their Yggdrasil era ballads (embrace, Rem, and Snow Smile), which is a welcome blast from the past (I loved their folksy sound during that era).

Mmmmm.  For me, it's more that there's a certain art to creating a compelling ballad that only some artists manage to hit, and even then not necessarily all of the time.  Some in particular end up being hits to me because they tickle my sensibilities in just the right way.

Yep. Not to mention other PV's that use live clips like this are so messy and incohesive the message gets lost.
