SM -,-

Don't you guys think that SM did a super big mistake by having Henry's comeback 2 weeks after EXO's. Therefore, there was not a lot of people paying attention to Henry. This also happen to SJM's Breakdown. SM released it when everyone was in the hype of SNSD's IGB... It's so unfair.. And they did not even mention about EunHae's IWD  :omg: WAE?

i know SJM's breakdown was performed in korea, but it was meant for china and taiwan, wasn't it? so i don't think it matters when Ayo GG had their IGAB comeback.

eunhae's IWD is also targeted at Japan, not korea. it's performing well in the charts over there, so clearly it was a successful maneuver.

geography may not make much of a difference to international fans because we're already stepping into international markets frequently, but it's actually very important..

Henry was not gonna get too much attention to begin with. It's surprising SM even let him have a solo, what money can they really make off it?

And I'm not sure what you expect them to do about EunHae? It's a Japanese single, it has nothing to do with Korean promos.

Henry had less people paying attention to him for this Korean-released mini album because up to this point his activities have been pretty much only with SuJu-M, which is entirely focused on the Chinese-speaking markets, so he was a relative nugu (and you know how nugus get next to no attention really).  SM deliberately featured Taemin and Kyuhyun, 2 of arguably their most popular male idols, in Henry's mini to attract more attention so you can't really say they didn't make an effort to help him promote.  And he's been on several shows at this point, and only just now starting Chinese promotions too.

Edit: Just noticed 25%Cotton already said basically the same thing of the rest of this, ignore :)     SJ-M's Breakdown.. also primarily focused on Chinese-speaking market --- you can't really complain if that's where SM directed most of its promotion for a subunit that's meant for non-Korean releases.  Is there even a Korean version of I Wanna Dance ?  AFAIK it's only in Japanese and thus targeting only Japan (same with KRY Promise You etc).

Hey, I'm a big SuJu fan too but... no shading from SM going on in my opinion.

Not really.

EXO had a comeback, Henry debuted as a solo, He is pretty unknown when it comes to non-fans.

SM does this, a comeback + a debut in the same time. They didn't do anything wrong. They don't expect a debut to win for example.

SJ-M was for China, I never imagined they'll be promoting in Korea. So, again they didn't do anything wrong.

Also, It's about time for SM to try promoting more than one artist at time....

They are growing fast, new groups are debuting and old groups are still going strong. A promotion per year is becoming hard for their groups because of them trying to avoid each other. I hope they can correct some things and forget about promoting one at a time. It's not good for the groups popularity. Idols life span is short & weak. The moment they are gone for a while, popularity drops.
