Why do people find British accents so sexy/appealing?

I'm come from England and I possess an British accent (well duh), when I tell people where I come from (online of course) they always go "Do you have a sexy British accent?!" and I'm like "It's British, but not sexy."

 

To be honest, I don't find the British sexy at all. I find European accents much more appealing.

 

Do you think that British accents are sexy and, if so, why?

I think they mostly refer to the RP pronunciation but I guess it's the 'classy', 'elegant' label that it has attached to it.

Hm, that's not really the answering the question -- I'd quite like to know, too.

They're not used to it and find it exotic?  I don't really find them sexy, they're like any other accent imo.

 

Also tone is very important to singing tbh, if you have the best technique but a shit tone I will give no fucks about you.

As an American, I don't find it sexy or attractive at all (yes, I know I have a British makeup guru in my sig & icon).

To be honest, I'd find it very awkward to try to hold a conversation w/ someone who's grown up in the UK and has a British accent.

In general I find them to be sexy and sophisticated (that's how the person sounds) and Australian accents are pretty cool too.
