EXO-K 'Overdose' on MCD

Look, I love my boys to death, but I was bored during this performance. Why? Because I've seen it several times. We've all seen this exact thing several times. I wish SM would have let K do a special stage or something. Almost every group did something different or performed two songs except EXO-K. I just....I'm over this monotony.

If I was the CEO of SM , I think I might get half of the people working there fired  :>_>:  .. they work Exo  unnecessary alot then when they have too the kids don't have the power too , there concerts might be dead tiring,  I am grateful they even appear there ... they should rest alitte :._.:

I 100% agree with you, it was kind of boring and I think it would've been better if they did some special stage, or maybe two songs, but they probably didn't let them do that because they look so damm tired.

it's ok if they didn't perform special stages, but to see they lip-sync really hurts my ears. it made no difference than listening to mp3 version except with video. i believe they can sing live and sm should too.

They let them sing live at their latest concerts, so there is already an improvement. If SM would only let them sing at music shows too...

they should try to sing live for once

unfortunately when only 3 can sing - it would be a lot to ask BaekSuD.O to do verses, chorus on their own whilst doing that choreo.

That's the main issue with Exo as a whole only about 1/3 of them can sing (or are allowed to sing).

This comeback/concert tour must be approaching an end soon, surely. This group needs to sleep and recharge their batteries. This comeback was emotionally and physically draining.

The tour will end in Sep. I think.

Overdose era is the messiest era ever imo.

I love the album and the choreography on the Overdose MVs still give me life but this has been a tough, tough time for the group.

Plus SM doesn't believe in sleep/rest/healing from injuries. Everyday it seems EXO were at the airport/promoting some brand/doing a concert/on some music show. They don;t seem to have had a day off since May.

as sad as that is, if they don't do those things they will hardly make any money. As a brand they may make a lot but once it's filtered through then divided by 11, it's probably not that much.

A French news report two years ago (can't find it on YouTube right now) looked at EXO (in passing) and SME as a company. In their research, they found that each EXO member had a contract stipulating a fixed salary which was pretty basic (maybe US$40K a year?). However, given that SM provide the space in which EXO live (their 'dorms' in SM-owned real estate in Seoul), I don't think they have to pay rent. It may seem harsh but perhaps these boys signed on for a gruelling training, touring and basic salary because the hope is that they gain extra $$$ in endorsement deals and mega fame in return.

The contracts likely allow for those extras (like CFs and appearing on variety shows, movies, TV, etc), but there is no doubt that SM are making the big bucks here and passing down pocket money.

Not that SM is this Evil Exploiter -- they have invested a lot of money in EXO and want that back with interest. It is a business, after all. They also have to pay the songwriters, choreographers, producers (sometimes coming from the US, so there are additional costs there), the stylists, the noonas, the 24/7 handlers and managers, not to mention media handlers, medical staff, trainers and so much more that we do not see. They are covering the costs of the concerts and the trips and all that. A lot of that is probably why EXO is scheduled up to their eyeballs.

agreed. and considering how bad the music market is in sk; they probably make more from ancillaries than the music it self.
