Description

We all know Barbie never show up in old, stinky and ratchet clothing
She shows up to impress with her designer clothes and sets the new fashion trend
Lately, she's been invited to many events from the iconic "Barbie" movie, and she needs your help as a stylist.

How to Play

You will be judged on creativity and aesthetics
1. Please select an idol that will represent as your "Barbie"
2. During each theme/stage, please describe your selection with an explanation and photos to demonstrate your vision
3. You have 24 hours to come up with your outfit for each stage.
3. Each round will be judged by Event Team members + a guest 

- Game starts on August 26th, 3 PM EST -
The event will last for a week total

1. @kyulkyung The design for the Barbie in a box luxury theme is a cool and creative one! I like that there were added accessories to mix and match with a nod to Rosé’s ambassadorship with YSL. It was also a whimsical idea to have pet to go with the outfit! In terms of the dress, I wish there was something more to it since it is a little low key for a red carpet.

2. @taenguri  ** narcissistic, my god I love it **
I find it interesting that you have made a choice to have her dressed in red for a red carpet. Most who attend a red carpet avoid wearing red because in most instances it is the least flattering combination. Wearing red on a red carpet puts more you at a risk of "blending in" and becoming one with the carpet. Although, I do think the Narbie trademark is unique.

3. @Zack Morris  I like the observation made between Ningning's outfit and the outfit on the Barbie doll. I think the dress also looks quite modern and stylish. The  cut and pattern are interesting enough, and it’s a glammed up look that pops. I love the connection that was made to an actual Barbie dress and how the two outfits are inverses of the other.

4. @Winter Bear  I like the addition of a Sana Barbie poster and the Barbie outfit connection. The outfit pairs nicely with nude shoes to extend her height. Overall, it's a decent outfit. I wish the hair match a bit better with the vibes of the dress. I also hoped that there was the glitter portrayed in the original Barbie reference.

5. @krystalized  The caption is short and effective: "This Barbie is Sparkling" and appropriate, as well from the words "pretty" and "pink". I think it's good that you highlighted the dress color and accessories. I thought the visual aid was helpful in driving home the message that the dress is pretty. 

6. @Chiharu  Comfort and fashion is a nice idea. The dress's feather design is nice to break away from what would be a plain dress design. I think this needed something to pop out though like using the jewelry as a focal point or even the shoes giving us some pop of color.

7. @Sohryu I like idea of a mood board that highlights the different aspects of the dress and accessories that go with the outfit. The outfit is an interesting concept and as written, a quirky twist of the bow-tie mini dress that the other Barbie is wearing. I love the creativity behind the setup! 

8. @harumaki  It's worth noting the transformation! I think it's an outfit that can be worn also on the runway, which enhances its bold visual charms. Very coincidental that her dress was also pink! Whoever styled Chaewon might have been too ahead of her time. Good reference to the "flat feet" reference from the movie.

1. @kyulkyung  It's a cute dress with a coordinated shoe pairing. The earrings are pretty too.  The outfit, though nice, does seem to be a bit extravagant to wear to a picnic date.

2. @taenguri   I like this outfit. There's different patterns and cuts, but it still looks cohesive. A charismatic look!  It looks like a nice dress that you would want to definitely consider wearing to a party.

3. @Zack Morris   The contrast of different shades of purple draws one in. I love how vibrant the purple is! The accessories on her hands and wrists are lovely as well.  I like that you're thinking outside the box with some of your choices; that is, to move their date from land to sea.

4. @Winter Bear  I love the coordinating outfits for Barbie and Ken! They definitely look like they are read to dance the night away. Both the outfit and the accessories accentuate the party theme well.

5. @krystalized  The outfit matches nicely with the venue chosen. I like difference of the top and bottom and that the black and pink colors connect the whole outfit together.

6. @Chiharu  It's a solid outfit with items that all mesh well together. I like the versatility--being able to be worn at a casual place and a more high-end area too.

7. @Sohryu  It's a good balance of eye-catching and being wearable outside. It also matches very well with the retro disco theme. Great creativity on the visuals!

8. @harumaki   This is a cute outfit idea for a beach date--it's simple and fitting! The matching couple look is great as well. This submission is so quality, I kept laughing at the gif.

The only "con" I can think of for 24 hours is some time zones. for me, 3pm est is 9pm my time so when a new round starts I usually wait till the next day because I want to avoid screen time at night and then the next day I can only really start after work/school hours which leaves 5pm - 9pm to put something together. but I don't mind because i think that's more than enough time (i'm just lazy so i procrastinate, *a lot*- hence the one-minute swoops).

Yes ofc you get the seasonal ticket. You can always copy paste your bias outfit from images heh get at least a few points

1. @kyulkyung   I think the outfits shown are versatile and complement the jewelry being displayed.  The highlight of the look is jewelry, which the styling does by making the outfit simplistic so as to not take the attention away.

2. @taenguri   It's cute that she's dressed like the drink. Her earrings matching her hair is also a nice touch! Appreciate the choice to go with the orange. The outfit, however, looks tight and uncomfortable.

3. @Zack Morris   Interesting choice to have Barbie go with an ice commercial. Nice research into the commercial. Good outfit concept but the execution isn't quite there. Not a fan of the boots and the bottom lining of the skirt.

4. @Winter Bear  The fit is a bit ambiguous — it looks like it would suit sportswear more than it would for cosmetics.  An outdoor outfit look is the right track to go with the designs on the makeup packaging which have very beach-like vibes. I think it needed to go more with the vibes of the packaging.

5. @krystalized  I appreciate seeing three outfits that could possibly be worn alongside with the perfume.  I really like the idea of providing scenarios and outfits that match with the fragrant notes of the perfume. That's a clever idea!

7. @Sohryu  This is a fun cosplay outfit for a Kuromi commercial. I love the customized light stick too! The photocards concept and moodboard idea all work!  The outfit looks chic and modern.

8. @harumaki  Pretty logo!  The outfit looks simple and unadorned. I think the outfit pairs nicely with sunglasses.  I like the idea of Barbie eyewear based on the movie. The look does indeed give a chic vibe that would match well with the first Barbie eyewear.
