Since she called this "talent donation", I thought that it was for some official video but turns out, it's just for her vlogs

1. I thought that it was for some noble cause and clicked in to praise her but this is shocking....

 

2. The way she's doing that through Google forms is also so messy

 

3. I'm more shocked that it takes 4-6 hours to do this

 

4. Looking at her projects recently, she's been filming a lot of CFs and must've been earning a lot. She really seems brainless

 

5. For a 3-40 min video, it takes around 4-6 hours?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ if you were to use Papago to translate everything, it would take even more time ㅡㅡ

 

6. Why isn't her company the one looking for applicants? Isn't her company the one doing this....?

when i first read this i didn’t really think it was going to cause controversy. sure, it kind of a cheapskate move but i don’t think it’s something that warrants this amount of hate.

Fansubbers have been donating their own time and talents for years on YouTube, Vlives and other places without payments from companies. Where was K-netz outrage then? She asked for volunteers among fans and didn't demand people do it. Only if they would like to. This is kind of overblown.

I think though that those videos could be monetized because with the hard subs it isn't the "original content" taken from another creator.. it's been changed or transformed into something new as for the time limitation use thats why you woud see those youtubers having so many parts to their videos (as well as decreased rendering time).. not too sure about soft subs those may be unmonetizeable.

True, but it’s of their own volition. A celeb asking for free work is eye rising, and does make me side eye her.

Because people volunteer their time and effort and trust me it's a lot of time and effort. They don't have to do it. So to ask them, when you're rich and afford to pay them, is so tone-deaf. She really said, do hours upon hours of free work for me, I'll maybe give you credit at the end of the video  uwu.

There's no defending this. She can afford to pay people for their work but chose to be a cheepskate.

if my fave idol asked that of me I would say to fuck off. there is no reason why the fandom of Kim Taeri cant do the same.
