1. Huh ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I didn't know I'd live to see an age-related controversy

 

2. So he's not even 98'er but a 97'er...???ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ But he's a CCP supporter anyways, but on top of it, he's hiding his age, so why are people still voting for him? ㅠㅠ

Idk I just feel bad for him. He had two options: be truthful about his age and get ageist comments or lie and have the possibility of getting called mature looking or something. What I'm wondering is how this got through the checks since you wouldn't be able to fake this stuff in your passport/visa/official papers.

i feel bad for him, there are so few 4th gen boy groups debuting with people born in the 1990s now, and they're mostly small company boy groups who are willing to give older trainees and idols a chance. you have Taeseon who was born in 2000 in this show saying that this is his last chance to debut, and he's only 23. ageism in kpop is insane.

talent has no age so it's so maddening that they industry is treating people in their twenties like senior citizens in a retirement home

they need to stop debuting kids and start debuting adults with life experience

I remember when sistar debut, they aged down hyolyn and boras age by a year. Makes you wonder how many other idols and celebrities do it

It's also really sad that being 20+ is considered OLD in this industry, that is crazy!!!

Yeah, its so insane that the industry is pretty much only wanting to debut people born 2005+ now. Ofc the whole boy/girl group format appeals to younger fans and they might want the idols to be their age, but whats wrong with also debuting some 20-25 year olds? Thats still young, especially since most groups don't last more than 7 years, even older idols would be like 27-32 by the time the contracts are over, which is still pretty young. Also we are in desperate need of more mature/sexy concepts, which should be done by slightly older idols lol
