yeah lmao

im really curious to who they were able to pull into this mess since the previous queendom series had pretty popular groups in them

lots of nugu 4th gen girls and maybe like 1-2 2nd/3rd gen idols from disbanded nugu groups is my prediction........i can't see this being super successful since The Unit flopped. Peak Time is doing okay but i think having entire groups compete works better than individual contestants.

i wonder how the unit would do if it was solely a gender-specific season 🤔 part of the reason it flopped was because of the little drama, so it was boring lol and that it just had too much of everything (125 contestants is crazyyyy, too many episodes and they were drawn out too, had to essentially form two groups, tedious voting, etc)

i have a feeling queendom puzzle will do a bit better, at least the finalized group will lol mnet promotes better and that was not the case for unb and uni.t

eh, i don't think little drama is the issue amongst Koreans - Peak Time is quite drama free and it's doing fine in Korea, the need for drama is mainly an issue of i-fans who are obsessed with complaining about Mnet while also demanding bitchiness and reality-TV style antics. so i imagine this season will be more popular with i-fans than with The Unit since Mnet is great at leading viewers around to hate and love the contestants they want for their final picks. esp since a lot of flop groups fanbases are international nowadays.

i think the promotion will also depend, TO1 and Fromis_9 were mnet show groups but Fromis_9 only got popular fairly recently afaik and TO1 continues to struggle along.
