Hip hop artist AK-69 warns people that someone else is using his name to commit fraud on a fake account

Rapper AK-69 updated Instagram on March 10th. A fake SNS account that pretended to be his name reported fraud damage that demanded money.

AK-69 reported, “There are people who have been scammed by demanding money from a fake account that used the name of AK-69.” It is said that the actual method is to induce the fake account to the communication application LINE and demand money.

Along with a photos of the official account operated by the him or the staff, any other accounts are fake.   “Except for responding to questions DM addressed to the staff account such as live ticket information, contact individually from the official account. We will not take any money and ask for money,” he warned.

He continued, “Knowing about this damage, AK-69 and all the staff feel extremely angry. Please spread this information so that there will be no more victims.” . On the 11th, a user who saw the post said, “There is a high possibility that the fake account is operated overseas” and “Many people contacted me via DM or audio call in broken Japanese”.

As for countermeasures, AK-69 recommends “Do not follow back even if you are followed” and “Do not respond at all even if you are contacted”.

In the comment section, there were many voices, “He responded too, he said that equipment was broken and asked for Bitcoin!” according to reports from fans who actually contacted the fake account.
