The main reason why fans are falling head over heals for XG

international fans I mean 

we all know that international fans love girl crush concept in general. I'm not gonna talk about the talent of the girls, the catchiness of their songs, their amazing choreos or whatever, these are a given . I'm also don't wanna talk how fans  have missed this concept, a true girl crush concept I mean.

Kpop-girl crush concept have been stale so far, too much copy paste of the same thing, the same formula, a beat drop here and there  , mostly  targeting a teen audience. . We've seen a good potential for good girl crush concepts  with certain groups: Black pink comes once in 5 years, everglow faded, G-idle not really girl crush (if we don't consider KDA), who else? 

The main reason in my opinion,  XG girls  stand out as they come off as MATURE and Experienced. Recently, most of the idols look like kids, this is the reality.  

 

Korean idols have become too young to pull off a strong concept. A true girl cruch concept is all about charisma and interaction with the audience, it needs experience and some serious good skills (vocal and rap). 

XG girls are also young but they don't look so

This is my main issue with Babymonster, especially the rappers. All the girls are hella talented but I can't fucking take them seriously , sorry. and I hope they won't have a girl crush concept when they debut. they're just too young for that.

ngl, i've fallen for them too. they've been on my radar, but they didn't hit the mark for me... until shooting star. prior releases were pretty much similar girl crush type of songs we'd usually hear, but something about shooting star (and left right) was so incredibly refreshing to me. i really loved the combination of rnb, y2k, etc., in a way that was a brighter and edgier counterpart to newjeans.

and their charisma is >>>>> like... harvey is the tallest out of all of them, yet she's only 5'3. literal baby monsters. the only thing they need is constant youtube uploads. they need longer clips to showcase what their personalities are!

I agree with your main reason. Plus, they are talented. I gave them a chance without knowing anything about them and they impressed me.

I don't agree with what you said about their previous being typical, for me they were  refreshing too, I enjoyed them so much

I love XG songs so far. And one girl, dk the name, exudes this boss energy.

I'm curious for BABYMONSTER because they are YG, and idk how they can pull this "bad girl" persona being so young. Kinda wish they explore a new genre for them that develops into that YG sound/image.

XG is like a YG group, but with proper rapping.
