[Rumor] SM is said to add at least 15 members to NCT + changes in SuperM

even if people bend backwards with the criticism it seems that financially the gamble they took with NCT did work out overall. They've been trying to make rotational and exchangeable 'project' groups happen for almost 20 years (remember the debut of Super Junior) and it seems with the added decent success of SuperM and GOT they'll continue to try. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Case in study: NCT DREAM. It was supposed to be the most rotational unit with a graduation system and nowadays it's the most fixed unit and the one fans consider the most autark and self-reliant (DREAM seems to be recognized as an independent group nowadays rather than a NCT unit by fans), so they do know when to change course.

They're experimental and do make strange decisions but they seem to understand when something clearly doesn't work out. Doesn't mean they won't continue to try with something similar in the future.

I agree, and now I am worried about Yuta to be promoted as a leader of this weird new group. I am afraid he will be separated from the rest of NCT just like happened with Ten, which will be sad. While I sincerely wish he could get more chances to showcase his vocals and many talents, I don't know how this will go and it's stressing me out a little 😅

Yuta has clearly taken Shotaro under his wing and is a good senior and advisor for the new members. And he's still invested in 127 and NCT. But Yuta also has become a household name in Japan, he was recently featured on Forbes Japan's list "30 Under 30", he's on the cover of some of the biggest magazines there, got his own radio show and was in a movie. He was the most followed japanese celebrity on instagram in the world for awhile (he's currently the 2nd). imo he won't debut in another unit 7 years into his career, with inexperienced and much younger newbies, especially not in Japan. Can't be compared to Ten who debuted in Wayv way earlier and is a fulltime regular member whenever they have new comebacks, who doesn't promote much in Thailand and is still working on building his career in China. If anything, Yuta will have Japan, the worlds 2nd largest music market, on lock through solo works in film and most likely in music too.

I'd rather bet on Shotaro, it looks like they're getting him ready to take leader position if and when the time for a japanese unit comes. I'm sure Yuta will still help that unit because he's shown that kind of goodwill before and via the NCT umbrella connection, too, since they're all NCT members.
