Okada Nana announces graduation from AKB48

Following her dating revelation, Okada Nana, a member of AKB48 announced she was leaving the group. No date has been addressed.

In the past, I criticized scandals in the senbatsu sousenkyo, and came forward as a member of the disciplinary committee because I wanted to change the group so it rewarded members who worked hard and yet I'm full of regret for making myself look like a liar in front of everyone.

It can't be helped if this seems unconvincing, but it is true that I have done my best these past 10 years as a member of AKB48 My feelings of love towards AKB48 group, staff, members and fans is real.

As such, I have decided to make this decision myself. I will take a hard line here. I will graduate from AKB48. The staffs told me that I didn't need to graduate, but after many discussions, I decided to make this decision myself.

why Mion?

i'm offended at the fans behaviour, and even at akb mngm for not exposing themselves  more to defend Okada privacy being invaded and for not coming out and say there's not a rule that prohibits members from having a bf.

Nana surely is not the first member exposed of dating after Mion took the soukantoku post. Did she say anything when other members were exposed? Might she say anything at all had Nana not been her close friend? Beside blatantly biased, her statement was ignorant to fans' feeling and only fanned the wrath. Members also have been divisive over her action. What kind of superb leadership is this?

Crazy may they be but, aren't these crazy fans who keep the group afloat? Is AKB48 so privileged to lose 5-6% fans unaffected?

Exposing themselves? What to be exposed? Why must it clean up the mess she voluntarily made? Nana is an adult who should take full responsibility over her own actions and made her decision fully aware of the risk and, the agency in no way influenced her to make the decision.
