this naver article states that fifa only reached out to hybe about a month ago to set this up. things like this are usually planned at least a year ahead so like, jungkook wasn't even top of their list of choices and everyone else just said no.

i'd almost feel bad for him. almost.

oh i read that they only asked for jk and his stans are painting it as fifa wanted him so bad, didn't know it was only a month ago. It certainly changes the narrative.

Also before this, all the bts members as a group were rumoured to perform on this event but I guess all of them backed out because of the controversy surrounding it and jungkook being the bighit puppet that he is with no mind of his own, gave a yes. Called the dumbest bts member for a reason. He keeps on being problematic and making stupid decisions and choices that brings the group down.

as much as i'm dissapointed on jk in this, he's not a guy with no mind of his own. You can be critic with someone without just blatantly hate on them.

Ik that is not part of the discussion but idk if Germany is a great example to give since the actual football team failed to do the boycott because the were not allowed to wear the ''one love'' armband and didn't wanna risk getting a yellow card, so they didn't do it.

Instead they just put a hand over their mouth and called it a day.

The people of germany are doing better job with protesting against that, that I agree with you, but I still don't see that having a great impact on the event tbh

This is even more off topic but I also see wearing an armband that says One love or covering their mouth as a shitty way to ''boycott'' something. It's just so obviously performative, it hurts me. I don't have any idea what else they could have done, but an armband is just not it. And in the end not even doing is, makes it even worse... this whole fifa situation is such a mess

Spoiler

yeah honestly the protests some Europeans football teams wanted to do were pretty mild, like we want to make something but not too much. The one that has actually done something 'big' (not against Qatar or the World Cup because, obviously, they can't be the one to talk about being shitty) is Iran which protested against their country, same as a lot of fans there. These guys have actually risked something against their government, but the other ones couldn't risk a yellow card.

honestly i don't know the truth about that matter, because some people are saying they wanted everyone and some other are saying they are misinterpreting his words and that he has said that it was always Jungkook (on his insta, but these are jk stans, so i don't know if there's bias there).

Anyway you are calling kpop fans super dumb while you are acting like you are this little fly on hybe's walls that knows everything (and with a clearly hate against jungkook that, sorry, takes credibility from your words). There's a difference between talking about what you think has happened and presenting it as facts. You are not better than anyone.
