You're not making sense though.

 

There are two sides to this:

 

1 - The Ukrainians say Russians Separatists, aided by weaponry supplied by the Russians, shot down the airplane thinking it was an Ukranian military plane.

 

2 - The Russian Separatists say it were the Ukrainians that shot down the plane, thinking it was a plane Putin was on.

Scenario 2 doesn't make sense tho.  The Ukrainians wouldn't shoot down Putin's plane because then Russia would invade them and easily conquer them.
