It's been announced that Kishi Yuta, Hirano Sho, and Jinguji Yuta will be leaving King & Prince as well as Johnny & Associates on May 22, 2023.

Since last year, the members and staff had numerous discussions regarding their future, and realized that the members had different goals and directions. In order to respect each other's decisions, they decided to end their activities as a five-member group. Hirano and Jinguji will leave Johnny & Associates when they leave the group, whereas Kishi will make his departure from the agency next fall. Meanwhile, Nagase Ren and Takahashi Kaito will restart King & Prince as a two-member group from May 23, 2023.

King & Prince just wrapped up their arena tour 'King & Prince ARENA TOUR 2022 ~Made in~' on October 20, but decided to make this announcement after the tour because they wanted their fans to fully enjoy themselves. They expressed to their fans, "There were good things as well as painful times, but no matter what happened, the members were able to support each other and continue running thanks to the smiles and cheers of our fans."

King & Prince made their CD debut in May of 2018. Since Iwahashi Genki withdrew in March of 2021, they have been active as a five-member group with Hirano, Nagase, Takahashi, Kishi, and Jinguji. They are slated to release their new single "Tsukiyomi / Irodori" on November 9.

I'm actually late in posting this 6 day old news. But yeah this news is very shocking. I never saw this coming. People speculated it has something to do with Takizawa resigning (internal problems with the company / factions). Reminds me of SMAP when their longtime manager resigned and left Johnny's Jimusho.
