My husband said he can't look after our kid because he wants to go see NewJeans

I told him a month ago that I have a promise tomorrow and he has to look after the kids.
Suddenly, he told me that he has an important plan and asked me to cancel or delay mine. He was literally begging. I asked him what his plans are and he said he already got the tickets to watch NewJeans at Konkuk Univ Festival.
I'm so confused that I'm at loss for words...?
I really don't want to live under the same roof with him anymore.
For your information, he's about to turn 40.

'ㅋㅋㅋㅋNewJeans' members are really young, though'
'Our kid is younger than them. She's only 1 year old'

theqoo

-He's about to turn 40 and he still chooses to see NewJeans instead of looking after his own kid...

-Wow... A 40-year-old man chooses to see some 17 years old girls who don't know him instead of looking after his own 1-year-old kid. I think that's enough reason to get a divorce.

-The OP already told him in advance to make time and her husband still asked her to cancel her plans because he wants to see NewJeans. No wonder why the OP was really pissed offㅋㅋㅋ

-If he has the heart to abandon his own 1-year-old kid just to see an idol group, he should get a divorce and becomes a full-time fanboy instead.

-I'm sure OP would absolutely be more understanding if he had gone to see NewJeans some other day, though. I can totally see why the OP is really angry.

-If I were the OP, I think I'd lose feelings and respect right away...

-I hope this is just some made-up story...

-That's f*cking sickening...

-You're my chemical hype boy~~

-If I were the OP, I'd get a divorce right away...

-His wife had already asked him one month in advance, why did he still buy the ticket in the first place?

-If I were his wife, I'd probably lose all my feelings for him right away...

-Is he crazy? He can watch the fancams at home...

-This is not funny at all. His wife had already told him one month in advance. Besides, fancams these days are posted in high quality.

So he wants to abandon his kid for a 20-30 minute concert? That BABY is at the most critical point right now. He/she needs constant care. Babies can't survive on their own. His wife didn't go through 9 months of hell for him to just be a deadbeat like this. What kind of father acts that way?????

Bailing on his promise to look after the baby for something trivial is awful but it’s disturbing that a lot of the netizen comments are more concerned with that than the blatant ephebophilia.
A 40-year-old man being this desperate to see a group of pretty 14 to 17-year-old girls is not normal. Let’s call it what it is.

this is disgusting on so many levels. idek where to begin on this one.

1) your wife should be the apple of your eye. its f*cking inconsiderate of her feelings

2) family should be priority, especially since your child is a literal toddler...

3) newjeans members are WAYYYY to young to "fanboy" over.

4) grow tf up.

aside from what's already been mentioned I'm pretty sure a baby at that age would be allowed in for free so he could have just put  some headphones on the kid and brought them along for the hour instead of being a manchild (would have made the whole thing less creepy to).

Babies have no place in a concert. Not only it is dangerous for them, it may also stop people from having fun because a parent's selfishness to prioritize entertaintment over parenthood.

Have a baby? Then fun is no longer a priority for a good while. That's just the way it is.

This manbaby is a creep, and an irresponsiblenine at that. The wife should divorce him and squeeze every penny possible from him to care for their child. Kid will be better off without a pedo in his life.

Wonder if you have a kid... Seriously the best parents are people who don't have kids yet. 😀 Concert is in no way dangerous for 1 year old. You just need to get them protective headphones. And how tf is baby going to stop people from having fun there? Seriously even if it screamed the whole time... It's not like he was going to classical music concert or opera or something where everyone has to keep quiet. Everyone is loud on these events.

I think I would ask his mom to babysit because her son broke promise because he wanted to drool over 15yo kids shaking their butts. 🙂

I wear professional grade earplugs to concerts because I give a fuck or two about my hearing, and those still don't completely protect your ears. Do you think a pair of flimsy ass noise cancelling headphones is gonna protect your child's hearing?

You're right, this is not an unplugged chill acoustic concert or Disney On Ice; it's gonna be loud as fuck, fangirls are often-times louder and shriller than the music, and unless there are seats, your ass is gonna be bouncin around. Whoops there go your headphones.

No, I'm not a parent; I will never be one, but I as sure as hell know not to bring a kid to a loud ass place where they're certainly not gonna be peacefully napping away or keeping still for two or three hours. They're gonna be sore, uncomfortable, crying, and now on their way to premature hearing loss. Not to mention everyone around you is gonna hate your selfish ass and your poor kid by association. If I need to spell out why, then you need a little empathy course.

I hope you're not a parent, and if you are and are taking your kid to concerts, then do them a favor and take them to get their ears checked, you'll get a little dose of reality.

Lol. As I said those who don't have kids are the best parents and know the best what's best for the kid. 😂 It's actually funny.

As opposed to people thinking they become all knowing after giving birth. Trust me, kid, popping out a baby does not give you any superior wisdom, but as we can see here, it can turn you into an insufferable, sanctimonious Karen. People around you just might care enough to not say it to your face.
