  • My Everything changed the title to Loona cancels Japan concert due to visa issues

this entire tour has been a mess, smh. overworked, the girls are getting injured, i remember seeing news about a four different members having to take a break from the concert every three days, i guess that’s one perk of having a lot of members.

VISA issues???? Don't those have to be completed weeks if not months in advance????? What's the real story cause this looks suspicious..........They should have had those ready the minute they announced the tour. This is utter incompetence of the highest level.

I'm not one to shy away fom putting BBC on blast, but on this case, I'm not sure.

I don't know if you all are up to date with Japan's entry rules, but they're rigid as fuck, and that is on top of their past already inflexible system. The country is still on lockdown from Covid-19, and even people (foreigners) who have been living there for years are having a hard time going back into the country. It's even worse for tourists (who are only allowed in those awfull group vacational packages), and temp work visitors.

The whole country is suffering economically over this, but they've barely changed anything since last month, which was the last time I checked for an update on their situation.

They just announced they'll open borders for everyone from October 11.

Sweet.

Still, their concert was meant to happen on the 1st, and I really doubt Japan will ease on their rules, or make any exceptions until the very date they've given.

Yeah but other idols have managed to tour normally in Japan. I'm not sure though if quarantine is still required but if others could do it, why couldn't Loona? Still feels like an oversight from BBC's part.

BBC did submit for the Visas though, we can't know since when. For all we know, BBC might have done everything right this time; Japan was the one who denied them for whatever reason.

One of the members came out and said she hasn't gotten paid since debut. These ladies are breaking their backs and won't see a penny... this may be a good or bad thing with this being cancelled so they can get rest

I mean...why is that surprising though? Why are people shocked? The group had a 15million pre debut project. Of course they aren't out of debt yet. AOA took five years to get payed and they didn't have such a huge investment.

Do I like this system? Absolutely not. But BBC has struggled with their LOONA investment since all of this started. Paying the members is probably least of their concern.

Other lesser-known groups than Loona were able to hold perfs and concerts there w/o issues aside from the usual quarantine restirctions.
So this might be an impact of that lawsuit between Blockberry Creative's parent co (Polaris) and their Japanese (also 2nd largest) shareholder (Donuts)
Still sucks that loona's JP concert tour got caught in the crossfire tho.
