A debut is what truly makes or breaks a group. A strong one can gain you thousands of fans but if you flop, you’re looking at unpaid debt and our company snatching back our trainees. After all, if you don’t have a steady source of income, neither do we.

So now that you’ve received your trainees, it’s time to plan your group’s debut. You must make sure every detail is meticulously thought out and unique in order to stand out from the others. Since we so kindly provided you with trainees, you must return the favor by providing us with a cut of the money earned. 

Here are the requirements in order to submit your debut:

- Song must be in Korean (an existent song, but if you feel extremely overachiever you can compose a song… I won’t stop you)

- Must have a custom title

- Your song must match the concept you choose\brief description of the single

- You will need to create a visualizer (gfx, video, collage) to show what the music video will look like(If you do not know how - giving us pictures next to each other is alright too)

- Attach a choreography to it (existing or custom) that fit your song

*Feel free to get creative and add lot of description for the judges and users if your concept/lore is harder to understand

After you have finished carefully planning your group’s debut, you must submit it in this thread (don’t worry, we probably won’t steal it…unless) before the time-limit and let the netizens of OH decide whether you will become successful or not. Remember, the best way to catch people’s attention is to have a unique or eye-catching concept.

Again, submissions must be posted in this thread.

But wait, there’s more! If you paid attention in our main thread, you will remember we had some secret staff. Well, now it’s time to introduce them! These three are very highly regarded in our company staff and have been carefully chosen to judge all of you with no mercy. So make sure to take your time and put in your best effort!

I agree that the tight schedule was very bad but I'm glad we have one more day nonetheless. It was too stressful. Since this is a OH members driven event I guess whoever post sooner gets more time to get people going for them anyways, but I'm sure events team will know how to handle that if it comes to a disagreement...

no one submitted yet so there is no need for that. You can take more time with it.

The Event team didn't have much say in this game since It is mine and @Moodz who designed it. We agreed that 2 days for the first task would be enough initially as we wouldn't want to drag the game for too long and have users lose interest\feel like it is too much to do. On top of that, we lost some time during the sign up so we had even less time for making the Company Thread. It was definitely an oversight on our part and that is why we are currently reviewing the schedule.

Like Bel said we initially thought it would be enough but the signups ran too long. We're going to be looking over the schedule now ^^

The stressful is on me i guess I'm just like that don't worry, it's fun but even fun things can be stressful (for me) working on tight schedules! We've been laughing while brainstorming so it's worthwhile and the results are always rewarding regardless of winning or not

Celestial Girls - The Arrival: Heaven

First, we would like to make a brief introduction of the girl group Celestial Girls.

On September 16th, in an unknown galaxy far, far away, 7 evil witches were sent off from their kingdom to the one that was known as the one with most evil and rotten elements: our galaxy. Here, they will have to use their powers for good and won't be able return to their home until our galaxy is cleared from evil. The witches are gaining new powers, different from the ones they had in their own galaxy before, so the most important question is: how will they adjust? Each member, born under a different zodiac sign that matches her personality, is given a gemstone based on said zodiac. Gemstones are a source of the witches’ new powers entrusted to them after careful consideration of their personalities. But – they came alone in new galaxy; how will they even learn about their new powers and how to control them? You will find more about their magic powers with the important magical object that will appear in the debut MV!

 

Celestial Girls will debut with their 1st Single Album "The Arrival: Heaven". The tracklist is the following:

1. Heaven's Gate (Title track) (inspiration: GWSN's Puzzle Moon) : The title track, "Heaven's Gate" is a trendy deep house song that creates a dreamy mood in a sophisticated way. The contrasting sensuous sound designing and the unique voices of each member made a creative and differentiated dance song for their debut. The lyrics, written by Sakura and Yujin, talk about how they all became a team and the beginning of their new story together.

2. The 1st Sin (Promotional B-Side) (inspiration: GFRIEND's Apple) : "The 1st Sin" is a pop genre that blends a slap bass based on a Arpeggio guitar performance and 6/8 beat of shuffle groove, pulse code modulation synth and trendy vocal chops. It creates a new and mysterious atmosphere sound that encompasses both the past and present and will show different darker sides of the girls. Moon Sua, Yunjin and Yuki participated in writing the lyrics and composing the song.

Brief explanation of the MV:

We imagined the video that goes along with our single, “Heaven’s Gate” to start with a bang as our witchy protagonists are banished from their galaxy and sent to ours. They have one task they must complete before they can return home: clear our galaxy of evil. This is shown with the gifs depicting the girls opening a door to a new world and descending up a grand set of purely white stairs. These stairs lead the girls to a mystical land where they discover a magical book that speaks of powers, gems and zodiacs? But of course a book with great power will come with some difficulties as Sakura can be seen dodging some terrifying obstacles. With the book in their possession the girls join together in celebration and unite to form Celestial Girls. However, this is just the beginning of their story as shown with Taeyeon gif, suggesting that there’s more to their powers that must be discovered and explored

For the debut single, we will follow the story of two of our protagonists, Xiaoting and Sunwoo, in their first night of transformation.  The night that started it all.

The story starts off with a blurry view of a gloomy city. We find a beautiful girl, Xiaoting, running past the blurred city light with tears in her eyes. It has been a chaotic night for her. Her boyfriend cheated on her with her step brother's dad (this backstory will be in the teasers not the mv). Her heart was beating fast and her mind was a whirlwind. Confused, she runs into an old, abandoned tunnel. There was nothing but pebbles and scattered traffic cones. She stumbles and falls, butt first, on a traffic cone. To her surprise a magic portal is revealed at the end of the tunnel. It was as if she could see a whole different Universe before her. Her eyes become sharper, clearer, and focused as she begins to feel a transformation unlike any other. She merges with the Universe before her, and in one magnificent display, the stars explode into a gigantic silhouette of an ilgaksu.

The story transitions into darkness. We are now in a deep, dark forest unlike the sparkly world before. A hooded figure appears before us, dimly lit by the moon light. He holds a cigarette in one hand and a bottle of soju in the other...seems to be a shady character. He was in pain as his boyfriend cheated on him with his (boyfriend's) son's step sister's mother (in teasers not mv).  Drunk and fidgeting, he stumbles on a rock and falls, butt first, on a pine cone. Unexpectedly, a vortex appears before him in heavenly speed. He sees a thundery new universe as a thick cloud of nebula shrouds him. His eyes become sharper, clearer, and focused as he begins to feel a transformation unlike any other. The nebula fades back into darkness and we see a silhouette of a dark creature screeching at the moon.

G.4.Y (Gods for You) - Rise of the New Era

MV consists of Intro (New World) +  Rise of the New Era (title track)

Allow me to introduce in details how G.4.Y's debut MV was put together. We'll explain the solo shots.

1) Bang Chan stands on a marble altar right in front of a throne, there's some fog as a thunderstorm rages outside and when a particular loud and bright lightning brights the entire room, the marble like place turns into a traditional but huge royal korean palace and he's in modern hanbok outfit. He looks direct into the camera as it zooms and he smiles.

2) Bae Jinyoung stands on the middle of countless stairs in what looks like a rocky mountain. The sun shines so bright and bathes him from head to toe, he has his eyes closed as the camera pans on his face. He looks peaceful, then the camera focus on his back and his head blocks the sun. He's the sun. As the camera gets blinded by the sun, Jinyoung dissapears and joins Bang Chan.

3) Keonhee is inside a room, writting down some notes and what seems like lyrics. His traditional hanbok adorns his peaceful beauty as the camera makes an above him shot. He's caught singing beautifully to what should be the song on his sheets. Suddenly he stops and look behind himself... It's like he felt something. The camera fades and he appears beside Bang Chan.

4) San is dancing and circling the dance room, what looks like rain is actually wine falling down from the ceiling of the room. He looks entrance, his clothes are drenched in wine and he looks mesmerizing moving his body to a melody we have heard briefly before. It's Keonhee's song. Suddenly he stops, look at the ceiling and the camera goes black. When it flashes again, San is right beside Keonhee.

5) Felix and Beomgyu are having a photoshoot together, there's so many flowers and the theme seems to be valentine's. They look magestic, Felix freckles are looking particularly good on this. He's a little sultry, his outfit showing more skin than Beomgyu's as the later seems to be having a more innocent approach to the theme. He has a floral crown and his clothing consist of pastel pink and white. Felix has deep red outfit. Suddenly the room goes silent and they look at each other, nodding. The camera blinks only to come back to Beomgyu beside Bae Jinyoung and Felix beside him.

6) Keeho holds an apple as he is sat in what looks like empty theater, except someone is right up the stage rehearsing. He looks unamused, he knows that he can do better with ease and the competition is nothing to him. He can win this. The apple falls from his hand as the camera catches a glimpse of his smirk, he gets up from the seat and walks to the stage... But the stage is now empty. The camera slowly zooms into what looks like a trophy drawn on the back of his shirt. It zooms so much the camera goes black and then shows all of the 7 members standing in front of the palace.

The proposal is to mix both cultures as the rise of a new era, our boys are deities who reborn as a 7 member idol group. The western elements are heavily introduced on the first half of the song, while traditional elements will be replacing them as the mv progresses. At some point our boys will only be on modern version of hanboks and mainly dancing in front of a famous korean palace. Their solo scenes will follow as each of them sing, showing their god and goddesses elements, ending on all of the 7 standing in front of the palace as follows:

The concept shows that a "new beginning follows an end". Hence, a reference to a broken clock set to 11 o'clock and to fire.
