So what's going on for Everglow?

They just suddenly cross my mind today.

Their last comeback was last year in December. I don’t hear anything about a comeback since...maybe I missed it?

I know about that Yewon (if that's her name) situation that happened earlier this year & she returned home to China to study.

Well, it's been 10 months without a comeback.

I wonder if they will ever rise in popularity.

What is even going on for them?

I feel like ever glow has kinda RIP at this point tbh?…

The company has their new boy group temptest(?), Yiren very obviously did not actually go back to China to “study”, she’s been busy on TV shows and is now having a solo debut and I highly doubt she’s coming back, and I think one of the other members is on hiatus?

I feel like their company really dropped the ball on them, they had good momentum going at the start at then it all went downhill…

it's sad, tbh. not that i think they're going to disband, but i do think that they'll be doing annual comebacks as opposed to the three comebacks a year or something. at least, until we probably see news that yiren left the group and they'll do some restructuring.

No. None of the other members are on hiatus. Aisha had covid so they performed as four at a concert in Sydney but she's better now.

But they're still doing concerts. This one was in August. (Again Aisha had covid then)

I wish Yuehua reboot Everglow by adding Yena into the group and replace Yiren as center.

But I doubt Yuehua will do that because Yena's fans and Everglow's fans will oppose that idea.

Yena doesn't fit Everglow's concept at all.

She is also doing quite well as a soloist,  this would be a bad decision if they add her to the group

I was thinking about them a few days ago when Pirate came up on my spotify. they normally had a comeback every 6 months after their debut but that has now stopped clearly. I know Yiren is debuting in China as a soloist but given the group never charted in SK I wouldnt be surprised if they quietly disbanded next year. or were stuck in contractual hell until the 7th year is up. they are promoting overseas in K-Pop festivals so I guess theres that positive aspect. theyre not being fully stuck in the basement yet. but yeah, worrying. they shouldve been on queendom.

its a shame for everglow since they had so much international hype but we’ve seen time and time again that doesn’t translate to stability for girl groups

like their boy group will probably flop too but at least they’ll have album sales to fall back on and not just youtube views and twitter acclaim

I saw some of their overseas performances in August but I doubt they'll be around for much longer, they'll probably be stuck in the basement until their 7th year.

Yiren is already shipped to china and just like most Chinese idols..she's not coming back, none of the other members have a solo career so that will be a problem in a few years. It's a really tough situation and although I'd like for them to cb, it's gonna be hard and I kinda understand why; the group isn't really making any money, their only strength a.k.a physical isn't THAT beneficial since it's below average for ggs these days, they're still nugus in Korea and not big enough internationally to hold large scale tours/ fan meets. I don't see them having many commercials either and YouTube views don't pay bills so I guess they're surviving on the few random gigs they have for now. It's sad really, Mia is too talented for this.

honestly it's such a shame, when they debuted everyone hyped them up so much so i really thought they would do well in the future. i wish the rest of them could at least release more music without yiren since i also doubt she's ever coming back, but things aren't looking good right now for them
