BLACKPINK 2nd Album ‘BORN PINK’ Tracklist Poster

Blackpink is a lovechild of 2NE1 and Girls' Generation and that's how they got their name

2NE1's fandom name is Blackjack, and their fandom color is Hot Pink

Girls' Generation's fandom color is Pastel Rose Pink

Blackpink has the spirit and sound of 2NE1 (this is what the Black represents) but with the conventional attractiveness and femininity of Girls' Generation (this is what the pink represents). YG wants Blackpink to be their ultimate legacy girl group. Yang Hyun Suk couldn't handle 2NE1 coming in second after Girls' Generation after all of his efforts to overtake them. So he tried it again, and decided to merge the two.

We've always known this, since before Blackpink's debut.

(Did he succeed? Is this why SM answered with their version of Blackpink, and debuted aespa?)

SM's corporate branding color has been pink for decades, at least since 2001 (some sources say since 1995 but I can't verify this myself!), they really cherish the color, so much so that they gave it to TWO of their girls groups (which caused some trouble),  CSJH The Grace (the female version of the immensely successful TVXQ), and Girls' Generation aka GG (their most iconic and the female version of the immensely successful Super Junior). Clearly they wanted one of their staple girl groups to own the color, to represent them as a company.

Then, YG debuts 2NE1 two years after GG and decides to give them Hot Pink as their fandom color. Fuck off, they did it on purpose. Yang Hyun Suk has had it out for SM and Lee Soo Man at least since 2009 clearly. Bitter whore.

Last year, SM announced that fans of SM would be called "Pink Bloods" (which was an idea STOLEN by the company from GG fans who called themselves "pink-blooded SONE" even though "purple blood" ARMY babies think THEY came up with it, silly children, THE WHOLE WORLD ISN'T CHECKING FOR YOU AND YOUR FAVES TO IMITATE AND EMULATE THEM ALL THE TIME, YES OTHER ACTS ARE INFLUENTIAL TOO BELIEVE IT OR NOT who am i talking to, there is like one ARMY left on this forum)

Now they're telling us Blackpink was "BORN PINK" with "PINK VENOM". Why is it that YG and SM are fighting over branding the color pink? Why can't YG let their girl groups dominate some other color?

Because unfortunately for them, neither Pink Blood nor Blackpink nor 2NE1 will EVER be able to topple GG's legacy. They will NEVER overshadow Pastel Rose Pink. Blackpink fans and 2NE1 fans may have pink lightsticks, but the most iconic ocean of all, the Pink Ocean, will ALWAYS remind folks of Girls' Generation and SONE. If you want to know why this is partially the case, look up the Black Ocean of 2008. Pink Ocean has come to represent TRIUMPH and PERSEVERANCE in the face of adversity. This is what Girls' Generation stands for.

Ask any person in SK, who's fandom color is pearl red? "TVXQ!" Whose fandom color is pearl aqua? "SHINee!" whose fandom color is PINK????? "소녀시대!!! GIRLS' GENERATION!!!"

If I were a Blink, I'd be disappointed in YG. No matter how many records Blackpink sells, no matter how many stadiums they book and sell out, and despite the fact that the color is literally in their name, they will forever be #2 when it comes to the color pink as a brand identity. That's just the way it is.

Pink-blooded for eternity 💕 We will DIE PINK 💕
