1. Seeing it like this, you can really see the importance of timing

I'm such a fan of both Hype boy and love dive so i don't really mind whichever of them takes the ROTY this year. Personally, I love Billie's debut track and Gingamingayo is such a fun truck. Their b-sides flippin a coin, a sign and moon palace are bangers too! I'll be pleasantly surprised  if they bag ROTY

I’m rooting for IVE. I’d personally love to see Kep1er or Billie get an award, but I feel like IVE is the only one who stands a chance against NewJeans right now.

I don’t know if this makes sense, but I feel like it would low-key be ironic if NewJeans won. When they debuted they had such controversy over their image and everyone being against debuting girls so young, yet this same girl group everyone was uncomfortable with debuting is now one of the top new groups right now…

While I like music by all of these groups, I can't help but hope Billlie or NMIXX win just because vocally they are on another level (which is not a swipe at the others! I like literally every group here). I'm guessing it will go to IVE or NewJeans if it's based on sales, though.

It should be New Jeans. They sold the most debut albums and got #1 on debut.

ROTY doesn't mean that much anyway. It is how successful you are after 7 years.

it really has been such a good year for girl rookies! up until two weeks ago i think we were all certain most of the awards would go to ive, so i think newjeans being in the picture and being so successful adds a lot of excitement. i do like newjeans a bit more, but either of them could take it and i would be very happy. actually, any of the groups listed above could take it and i'd still be happy.

Majority of them only have the physical sales. IVE's gonna win because with their comeback song being released soon, they'll have 3 comebacks to count. NewJeans is probably even stronger than IVE digitally but they'd have better chance if they debuted earlier.

In terms of talent NMIXX is ahead of the others imo and Billlie is the most distinctive conceptually and music wise but all the rookie awards will probably be shared between New Jeans and IVE. I prefer IVE's songs and really like the members so I'm rooting for them.

But wouldn't it be more logical for Mnet to favor Kepler rather than IVE ? Hybe and JYPE are also closely tied with Mnet. Actually I think MAMA's rookie award will likely go to New Jeans.

I 100% thought IVE was gonna snatch all the awards until newjeans came out of nowhere and absolutely dominated and SLAYED especially with attention and hypeboy (cookie is another story......). Honestly, I'd be happy with any of these groups getting rookie awards, they're all excellent

I like Fearless and Blue Flame, but I prefer pretty much every other group listed here (except Viviz). They're fine, but I think the scandal overshadowed the group  If I was ranking based on my personal preference, it'd be
