Will the innocent concept ever become trendy again???

This MV had me thinking how much I miss the era and how nostalgic it feels, even if it wasn't that long ago. Sure there may be few groups that do it now, just like there used to be groups that did other concepts during the "innocent and pure girl group era". But will it ever be trendy again? Cause nowadays it doesn't feel like I am listening to kpop at all, hence I barely listen or care about it.

Probably, not that I care. The only innocent group concept I've been able to stand is GFriend.

Probably at some point. There's certain concepts that always cycles its way back and that's usually one of them

Hopefully not lol… Sorry cute/innocent concept lovers but I like that concept better when a few groups only does it. At some point it was too much (same with hardcore girl crush tho)

Istg I miss the era so much, I feel like Gfriend rushed into changing their concept way too soon. They could have kept going with the Me Gustas Tu/ Love Whisper image for a bit longer. Oh My Girl's average age is older than them and they still have the same image as their debut and people don't nag about it as much as they nagged about Gfriend's image.

They tried to get back to it later. I remember being obsessed with love whisper  

But I agree. They should've done more with that concept. Don't forget that It's risky to not change change the concept and it is risky to change the concept as well. Some promoted bsides or second titles would have been great

rather than just “cute and innocent” i think we’re about to jump to a nostalgic y2k era because newjeans is opening the way and twice is kinda leaning to a mixed aesthetic too. 

but yeah, it COULD come back but honestly it’s not gonna come from the top gg rookies right now.
