It's not bad the beat is fun, choreo is original, and the sound fits in with the rest of the mini. The main problem is definitely the lyrics combined with the members ages, the metaphor is very obvious and honestly much more coherent than similar songs like ICC or Bicycle whose innuendos aren't really debated by the larger kpop community so I don't buy the 'actually in korean it's innocent' thing at all, I think it's just stans clinging onto deniability. Honestly it would have been a slay if it had been done by an all adult group but we don't live in that world. If I was in charge I would have released it: cookie (mv focuses on the girls performance and charisma), hype boy (mvs serve as individual member introductions), hurt (vocal/visual focus), attention (the full package proper debut). I also think releasing cookie first would have gotten the p*do accusations out of the way early and made attention seem mild by comparison, as it is now it's just like things got progressively worse but I guess they weren't expecting to be called out.
