[instiz] [EXCLUSIVE] JIMIN'S FATHER, MEETING OVER WINE ... THE STORY BEHIND BTS APPOINTMENT AS EXPO AMBASSADORS

It took over a year to get their approval. After Park Hyungjoon, the mayor of Busan, was elected last year, a full-fledged persuasion work continued. This is the story of BTS, who was appointed as the ambassador for the 2030 Busan World Expo (Busan Expo) on the 19th.

Earlier, there was an anecdote where Secretary Park, who was the Deputy Mayor of Economic Affairs of Busan, visited Jimin's father and persuaded him to drink wine with him. Jimin's father runs a large cafe in Daeyeon-dong, Busan. It is said that Jungkook's father, who heard the news through Jimin's father, also replied, "I will try [to persuade them]." Jimin really loved [the idea] too.”

Seriously going all the way to their families to pressure them is too much

original post: here

1. Why are these Busan people crossing the line all the time? And now they're calling it their 'pride'... Seriously their heads are too think

2. Ugh.. this is not it

3. Wow this is so low, what are they doing?

4. Do you really need to go this far..ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ....

5. No but of course he probably loves Busan a lot, but they shouldn't go this far.. Why would you even approach their families.. The members are also trying to protect their families, who do they think they are?

6. Huh.....? Why are they like that.....??? Are they crazy?

7. No but you don't have to go this far. If our kids think that this is a good cause, I'm sure they'd gladly participate. No but they should stop expecting this much from expecting so much from Bangtan. The same thing applies to their Busan concert. Seriously they're going to perform in such a crappy place and it's known to have a messy entrance, if you're going to call BTS, at least rent a real concert hall

8. It's hilarious that now they call it their 'pride'. I'm getting tired of those officials using BTS under the pretext of national prestige

9. Were they expecting the fans to go "Wow this is amazing ><👍"? Seriously are they insane???????

10. I didn't know Jimin's father ran a cafe? Wow

All I'm getting is, 'Lemme go and harass this person's father at work, so his father and a friend's father can harass him to join our project."

Don't be such a hooligan/shady person and be a professional. Try setting up a meeting with the person you want to be an ambassador.

The norm in Asia / Korea and I’m giving their parents the benefit of doubt because of how sound the boys are but this is nagl. Parents should not be meeting anyone in power, beyond a simple hello, drinks etc whatever should never happen.

Jimin's dad doesn't need much convincing anyway. He would happily do this for his political future and relationships, as well as for the income of his cafes.

Wait, since when does his dad have political aspirations?

Jimin's father supported the controversial party's candidate in the elections and even actively worked in the election campaign. Rumor has it that he himself wanted to be involved in politics.

Seriously? This is really disappointing and I feel for Jimin. He has the opposite personality of a conservative, even likely being queer. Now I understand his change his behaviour, if your dad is running for a conservative party, you can't be that open about yourself.

Seriously, this is disappointing.

Unfortunately. But we really don't know what kind of people these guys are behind the cameras anyway. Their real political preferences, and their real relationships with their families... Jimin and his father seem to have a good relationship, and there's no sign of Jimin being bothered by what's going on either. Maybe he's supporting his father, we really don't know.

I remember reading on Twitter that Jimin said his dad often let Jimin do his make up and had nothing against it. People started assuming that his dad couldn't support a conservative party but these photos show something different. Jimin always says he has a good relationship with his father so that makes me wonder about the whole situation. Some fans joked that Jimin looked the happiest about the Busan Expo thing.
