Mnet dropping the ball with SMF judges

Wooyoung of 2PM

Eunhyuk of Super Junior

BoA.

The Mbitious judges where actually much better. If they had included Poppin Hyunjoon & Jblack and Rain as an Idol judge they would have had a stellar group of judges.

Instead we have 3 idols and none of them being street dancers. At least last season had an SM choreographer.

Mnet WILL get the viewership without these idols what the hell are they doing. The only right choice they made is Kang Daniel as a mc. Boa is great but I wanted to see a full team of men judging this time around. 

You have  3 former idols on the show as contestants... and an idol MC. Nobody is waiting for an idol fest.

To be fair, Eunhyuk has choreographed and directed a dance show. They put the idols there purely for ratings.

Eunhyuk is going to judge people that are his senior in terms of dancing, people who live eat and breathe dancing more than him and he's going to be judging them. Sad part is that they didn't need to put THESE idols because of the hype SWF had lol. They could have had idols guest judge not permanent positions. All they had to do is call Rain up smh. Heck Jay Park as a judge would have been it if they needed ratings.

I agree with all of this but Jay Park couldn't be a fair judge for this since he's friends with some of these people. I read somewhere professional dancers wouldn't want to be judges since most of these people are their friends.

In the end it's MNET being MNET. Are we surprised? I'm not.

Ah good point. Forgot about the bias. But Jay Park was a judge on Dancing9 though unless his mates weren't there? So was Lee Minwoo from Shinhwa which is also a great choice.

I just had hopes since SWF did well... but their SM contract...sad

His friends weren't there at all. He's friends with a lot of street dance performers like the guys on SMF. He was a judge or host or something on a break dancing thing but that was because Jay is known for breakdancing and it made sense for him to be there.  Didn't even bother watching that one.

i want to drop my 2 cent about BoA here. 
the thing is idk if it's mnet fault of not.
coz at the teaser when taehyun pick trix to battle and eveybody freakout she goes like "what about trix ?"  and eunhyuk answer "he's no 1 in krumping in the world"
i feel like she's showing up not knowing anything and just enjoying herself (not a bad thing if ur just watching but judging is different thing)
idk if she knew the participant before the shooting but i dont think so considering eunhyuk know about trix and call him "no 1 krumper in the world" (he deff not no 1 in the world but that's what trix always labeled by mnet since the crew announcements) so i figgure mnet did inform them about the crew.

im not asking her to remember every single dancer . at least study about each crew leader and genre so she got some idea about it.
im just afraid its gonna be another "he looks cooler " "he have more swag" "he has more aura" situation.
coz there's alot of genre that for people who dont know dance can missunderstood.
like the lip j vs rozallin situation.

I don't mind having an idol judge among a panel of industry experts, like you said if they included the people mentioned in the OP + Rain, that would've been so legit. Like this it's a little silly. Three idols dancing street crews that can outdance a lot of people?

The last part is already happening. People were mad that 5000 lost 3 battles. All judges seem to be going based on vibes and what looks good. 

 

I also question if mnet doesn't give them their profiles like we see on the show. I get BoA is a busy lady but 30 minutes a day to know the dancers wouldn't hurt. She's basically no different than the new audience watching and it's a lil embarrassing.

Update: allegedly Jay Park did ask to be a judge and was turned down. 

His crew was also rejected (they created it for the show).
