Do you think men should have an opinion in abortion of their children?

Sorry to bring this up now especially with everything that's happening in the USA and even in my country.

Do you think men should have an opinion in abortion of their children?

I'm not talking about men in general but the fathers of the children. Taking two scenarios:

1. If two persons are expecting a baby. The mother wants to abort the baby, but the father doesn't.

2. If two persons are expecting a baby. The mother is ill & wants to abort the baby, but the father doesn't.

ย

Note they're two different scenarios.

I'm not sure what your definition of ill here is. In both scenarios he's of course allowed to voice an opinion. But the end decision is always hers, and in no way should he be allowed to deny or block that decision. (nor should his consent be required).ย

a discussion is probably the healthy thing to do

but it's the woman's body which has to go through something that is still potentially life-threatening and traumatising so it needs to be her decision. And countries need to stay the f out of it, I'm still shocked at Malta essentially wanting to let an American tourist DIE rather than abort her (non-viable) baby. That's nuts.

I mean yeah they can discuss it but it's still her body so the decision she makes is the final one. He's not putting his life at risk like she is by carrying a baby to full term.

Thank you guys for the responses.

When I say ill I mean like something that would hurt her & the baby. Eg: endometriosis, c**cer, some reproductive illness.

I understand there must be a discussion but what if the father is kinda forcing it.

What do you mean by forcing it? Forcing the pregnant person to have the pregnancy sounds like you're describing an abusive scenario. No one should have the ability to force pregnancy on a person.

Let's say, they're having an discussion. He seems a bit forceful like....

"Must keep it"

"You have no saying in this"

"You can't do this to me"

"You're selfish"

"I want this child"

"Why you having to do this to me"

ย

So on & so forth.

I don't know. I'm just saying/asking, I'm not referring to myself here.

Probably they didn't have a proper discussion beforehand.ย

Let's say the woman (24 years) is much younger & think she's a bit too young to be having a child. The man (36 years) is older & ready for a child.

That's not "men having an opinion", that's manipulation and abuse.ย

Raising a baby required commitment from both sides not just the mom or just the dad. I would say the father need to be in the decision-making process. Of course, the mother could have the final word as she's the one carrying the baby, but the father have as much responsibility towards both the mother and the baby so he deserved to have his words weighed when making the decision somehow. Like I said, it's a mutual commitment so at least try to get that mutual decision. However, there's a limit to how much he could influence the decision especially involving the mother and the baby's alive percentage.

I think yes he should have an say, if it not a life threatening situation for the mother, and she just doesn't want the child and he does then he should be able to keep it. Yes, its her body, but it's equally his child, she could not have gotten pregnant with out him. The decision should be made by both sides whether to keep the child or not.

He can voice his opinions and ideally theyโ€™d agree, but the final decision is hers. No woman should be forced to carry for 9 months and give birth to a baby, just because he wants a kid. Heโ€™s not the one whose body has to undergo that burden or dangers, or who will have to put their life on hold, potentially lose their career or place in school, etc.ย

If he wants to have a go at gestating a fetus in his body he's welcome to try.

My thing is you know that one of the consequences of sex... is a child... you know with condoms there is still a possibility of you becoming pregnant so in my mind if you trult dont want to get pregnant you should be on the pill as prescribed (not missing one day here missing on day there knowing that contributes to defeating the purpose of the pill), an IUD, or the injection. If u do decide to utilize a condom as your sole means then you're aware there is still a possibility "oop i may get pregnant for this person" again I ask.. why are yall even having sex with people you wouldn't want a child with? Why are yall taking that risk with a person who...

Honestly alot of yall lack self esteem and self love and thats why yall be trying to fill a hole (pun intended) with sex from aint shit people ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ๐Ÿฅฒ

Yall really dont treasure yall selves... there is no way u can sit here and tell me you 1000% love yourself and you're giving a treasure aka your body making soul ties with rancid people and saying "its for fun!" girl buy a dildo... buy one of them machines to scratch that itch.

Yall really outchea fucking low vibrational low caliber community dick people taking that risk that you know is there with this caliber of person

Alright sus

First you're misinterpreting the question.

1. The woman wants to abort the baby.

2. No birth control is 100% effective. People use two & yet still get pregnant. Most birth control even made people sick like the injections. Some birth controls won't work because of other prescribed medications.

3. Sex is normal part if life.

4ย  "why are yall even having sex with people you wouldn't want a child with?" - it's not the person isn't the right person. You love them & want a future with them, the problem is the woman isn't currently ready for a child probably for career reasons, financial reasons, mental reasons, etc. If the time is right then the woman would've been more open to the idea of having the child.

If a man doesn't want to have children, go to a clinic and do vasectomy. It's cheap (or even free depending where you live) and simple. No need convince your partner to kill a unborn child. Then you can fuck 100% raw until your dick falls apart, no condoms to restrict your pleasure.

This exactly what is happening now, after Roe v Wade ruling;. men are beginning to think with their brains instead of their dicks and are rushing to do vasectomies.

STDs, though. Reminder that the population most affected by HIV/AIDS is no longer gay men, but straight men, and AIDS is just the tip of the iceberg (syphilis undergoes a resurgence in Europe since the mid 2010s)

If you have a single girlfriend, no problem to go always raw after you get a vasectomy. Never fuck somebody you don't know, get to know the person first and demand proof he/she is SDT free.
