bangbangtang 133 Posted July 16, 2014 Share Posted July 16, 2014 [iNTERVIEW] Henry “It is my destiny to make people happy through my music†Henry, Super Junior-M / photo = SM EntertainmentHenry from ‘Super Junior M’ made a comeback as a solo artist.Wiki K-pop met up with him in the waiting room at KBS <Music Bank> in Yeoeuido, Seoul and heard about his future plans and feelings about the comeback.Before making a comeback stage, he had a big smile on his face. He seemed to be excited to be back as a singer.From Super Junior-M to a solo artist, Henry said “It’s little lonely to be a solo artist but it has its own magnetism. Being a solo artist is more stressful than being in a group but I like to take challengesâ€.Henry said “This album promotion would be ‘fantastic’. I’ve put much efforts into the album for a long time. I wrote about twenty songs for the album and only the best songs out of them were included in the albumâ€.He added “This album is electronic-free! I played instrument for some sons and I really hope many people listen to my musicâ€.When he was asked why other artist composed his song, and not himself, he explained “I wrote six songs for the title but they all had some shortcomings. Although I wanted my own song to be the title song, I must present my best features and come out with best title song. So, I have no regret for my decisionâ€.Henry not only plays various instrument but also has fantastic dance and singing skills. When we asked him if he is a genius, he answered “No, I’m not a geniusâ€.He explained “I have talents in various fields but I can’t do all of them. My only talents that I could really to wel was speaking English but now I’ve forgotten it too. I speak Korean more often these days that sometimes I can’t think of an English word.â€Henry / photo = MBC 'ì§„ì§œì‚¬ë‚˜ì´ (Real man)'Henry is starring in MBC variety show <Real Men> and he shared an episode. “Variety show are fun but army life is really tough. Few days ago, I ran into an army soldier and I felt sorry for him and gave him a bread and milk.â€.He continued, “One day, an old lady came to me in the middle of street and told me her depression has gone after she saw me in a variety show. Although army life is challenging, I feel like I should continue <Real Men>. No one likes to get army training. It is exhausting but some people feel happy to see me on TV which keeps me movingâ€.Henry also said “Last week, I agonized over the meaning of life. I’ve come to a thought that my talent is to make people happy. Making people laugh and sometimes sentimental through my music are the meaning of lifeâ€. Henry / photo = SM Entertainment said “I’ve devoted myself to the album and I wish yo listen to the song while walking, driving, and at anywhereâ€.He said his final goal is to pursue musical as an actor, and a film producer who can also participate in OST. Henry said “I woke up at 4 pm and walked Han river for 2~3 hours last week. I agonized over the meaning of life and the first mission is to make people happyâ€.Henry dropped second mini album <Fantastic> on July 14. It has been a year since he released a solo album <Trap> on June of last year.‘Fantastic’ is a retro-pop song with a vintage sound and easy melody.
