(T/N: Pet.J is a pet shop in Korea, they have a page called 'Pet.J Celeb' with all the celebrities who bought pets from their shop)

 

Kim Wooseok was living alone in his one-room while raising a mini Bichon and Pomeranian and even adopted a British Shorthair recently (he said that he never bathed his puppies by himself once)

 

Good influence? Is that possible? He wants to have pretty dogs on his Instagram feed so he's been only raising pedigree dogs. Even the fans praise him for that.

 

People shield people like him while hating on commoners to death for raising a dog prettily from a pet shop? G-Dragon also has a ton of money but he bought a dog from a pet shop, and even if he's acting dumb right now, he hasn't been punished at all. People are forgetting about those scandalous celebrities just fine.

 

 

Who wouldn't want to raise a cute little dog like this? Raising an abandoned dog is easier said than done. If they were a medium-sized or big-sized dog, their bites could be severe. Do you guys want to raise dogs like them????

They made the dog appear in one of their self-made contents back in February and it was almost animal abuse. Fans are writing business posts about him being rich but his family came to Korea to start a mala-tang business.

At least if they adopt animals and have a lot of money, they are doing something positive. But the people who have a lot of money but buy animals from pet shops are no different than animal hoarders

hmm no comment on this just a random thought, korea really love tinny dogs nothing against them and i do get is easier to have a tinny dog in there apartment/ houses  but still weird that they have like almost no big dogs there...

This is exactly what I think every time most of these idols / celebs get pets. They don’t give a fuck that the animals come with a ton of health problems, that they contribute to the suffering of these pets by buying these imposingly bred animals. They don’t care that they need actual care and attention, they just get them for their pics and then forget about them.

Wait what? Although buying dogs of mixed breed is not an ethical thing to do, how does this have anything to do with the CCP?

this feels like such a personal judgement call tbh, idk why you'd bash somebody else for their choice to buy vs adopt tbh. except for the cases where ppl are buying overbred animals with a litany of health problems because they're "cute." otherwise, nunya business imo. and that's coming from somebody who'll only ever adopt

...no. And I'm glad I haven't, as it's no one's business where you buy your pet from. And for those thinking, "If you don't adopt a dog from the pound, they'll kill them!", well, where you do think unsold pet store inventory ends up?

Well, knowing how nonexistent animal rights are in South Korea... 

Ever heard of dog breeding factories? I could never ever forgive myself if I found out I had bought a pet born in such place. Pretty sure that is where most pets sold in pet shops come from. Luckily all that is illegal in my country.

So yes, we should criticise everyone buying a pet from such conditions. Adopt from a reliable place or buy from a reputable breeder.

I will assume that it is easier to get a pet from a pet shop or breeder than caring for a rescued dog from a shelter, especially as a first-time pet owner

Man, every time I'm reminded of GD and how he pretty much threw his old animals aside. It's just sad.
