[instiz] THEY SAY THAT CUBE ISN'T A MID-SIZED COMPANY AND STARSHIP EITHER

Then are they considered big companies? So now, we have the Big7!?!?!?!

original post: here

1. Not sure, when people are praising mid-sized companies, CUBE and Starship are always omitted but I don't think they are big companies either

2. They are big companies but not at the same time

3. Back then, when people mentioned Pledis among mid-sized companies, so many people said that they were not so doesn't that mean that CUBE and Starship are also not mid-sized companies???
> Pleadis is HYBE so I think people say this because they are inside a big company

4. Starship is under Kakao

5. But isn't Starship a Kakao company?? And isn't Kakao considered big in the entertainment industry??

6. I think that people just rate them bigger or smaller based on their own preference

7. Aren't they "famous" mid-sized companies?

8. Aren't they between mid and big companies? To be considered big, not only does your company's name need to be known, but your idols' names too

9. It's true that Starship is associated with Kakao but is that enough to qualify as a "big" company?....

10. If they have big name value, then I don't think that they are mid-sized companies

Instead of using the term big, my d and small, they should really use tiers. You could say

Tier 1: HYBE, SM, YG, JYP

Tier 2: Starship and Cube

Tier 3: FNC, Woolim, DSP Media, MLD Ent

Tier 4: Brave Entertainment, Top Media, C9, M25.

Maybe a Tier 5 of really nugu companies and you could also add an S tier if you wanted to make one of tier 1 higher.

hmm i wouldn't say there big, there like in the middle, they both had idol groups that were successful in there times  and have groups that are know right now, but when they releases new groups those groups never get the attention the big 4(?) ( is it big 4 now?) groups get when announce. not sure about starship but for CUBE most of there group (except for G-idle ) when they debuted didn't pop off big, they had a build up flow in my opinion.

I know CUBE is now majority owned by a cosmetics company (VT GMP) so I can't say where they are financially but Starship is a subsidiary of Kakao, which is a billion-dollar (trillions in won) giant corporation in Korea, with more money/revenue than JYP, YG and SM combined. It has one of the biggest Kpop boy groups in the world (Monsta X), one of the biggest rookie girl groups in the world (IVE) with a future/present "It" girl in Wonyoung who will bring in tons of cash, and a reliable selling girl group in WJSN who in their 6th year have gotten a second look by the public thanks to Queendom, with many potential break-out stars like Bona and Seola who Starship could leverage. It also has an actor's branch (King Kong) with many notable actors. If anyone wants to be truthful about it, I'd say at this point not only has Starship miles ahead of CUBE, but in terms of what it could do if Kakao really wanted to pour money into it, it could give the Big 4 a run for their money. Though there's no evidence that Kakao is willing to do that right now.
