[NB] Hybe has no intention of kicking Kim Garam out and is in private talks of settlement with the victim

That's probably true. Idk if it's really Hybe clinging to the idea of keeping her or she and her rich and powerful parents/connections insisting on this but if it's the 2nd one I'm sure she's gonna regret it later on. She is young and probably over-excited about debuting. A narcissistic person like her would probably love the idea of being worshipped by millions of fans and flaunting it/bragging about it but once she realizes how even Lesserafim's own fans aren't happy about her existence, and once she actually faces them when she is on schedule rather than reading behind the screen feeling she is safe and unbothered, she would remember this day and wish she just quit and lived a quiet life instead of acting bighead and "fearless" and doing whatever it takes to stay in the group.

I feel like it HAS to be she has some kind of powerful connection or her parents do or they're bribing HYBE...some kind of financial benefit to them for keeping her. It makes NO sense that they're fighting this hard. The Ministry of Education made a PUBLIC statement siding with the victim in this scenario. People have reacted favorably to a 5 person group. She was incredibly off-key in both the encore stages she participated in, which is embarrassing as a singer. I just really don't see what could POSSIBLY be the benefit to Source or HYBE to keep someone in a group who has brought nothing but negative attention to herself, her group mates, and her company. There has to be something else to explain it.

I agree, though, that her contract is a LONG time to be the most hated member in an already cutthroat industry. Fans will not forgive her for this easily. Members of other groups that are much more popular than Le Sserafim have been kicked out for lesser scandals than this. There is no way that keeping her in the group will result in anything good.
