[NB] Hybe has no intention of kicking Kim Garam out and is in private talks of settlement with the victim

Theories about her possible connections within HYBE aside, I do wonder if the success of the song (and album) is also playing a role as to why HYBE thinks they can survive this. I mean the song is still doing well digitally and of course the album has already sold well physically. Granted, their first comeback will likely be the 'true' test of whether they survive this or not if they end up adding her back into the group by then. And also assuming HYBE doesn't or can't provide any further evidence in her defense by that point that can turn the tide. From a fandom perspective they could likely survive because they have at least two members with a great following. But the public may very likely just to be turned off all together and refuse.

Didn't the victim side just want an apology anyway? I wonder if HYBE will step back enough to issue an official apology. If HYBE's molka claims didn't have a grain of truth, I think the victim wouldn't have even come to terms with this deal. So we can say that both sides seem to have something in their hands.

I mean both yes and no? Like obviously if the claims of the molka are true and/or HYBE does any other dirt on the accuser, then yes it would definitely be beneficial for both sides to settle this privately. But, in my opinion, if they do end up settling things privately, that doesn't necessarily prove that theory to be true either. For example, If she finally gets the apology and acknowledgement she's been searching for, then her side could deem that as satisfactory and agree that the situation is settled. Even if she does get some type of financial compensation along with it, that still doesn't necessarily mean she's sneaky either.

Unfortunately for HYBE, even if there is or was some truth to their claims and they settle it, most people won't believe them still, again unless they produce any sort of proof on their parts. Most are likely going to assume they either threatened or manipulated their way out of the situation, which tends to happen sometimes whenever anything is settled 'privately' even if the situation is actually solved.
