CLASS:y is facing backlash from the viewers after the group's 14 years old member Park Boeun revealed she drinks baby formula to grow taller.

On the May 14th episode of MBC's 'The Manager', the rookie girl group CLASS:y and a former DIA member and current manager of the group Cho Yi Hyun made a guest appearance. On this day, they shared how they prepared for the group's official debut after the survival show 'My Teen Girl' came to an end.

During the episode, their manager Cho Yi Hyun personally prepared their meals to help them manage their weight ahead of their debut. While the girls showed they were on a strict diet, however, they also showed that they take kids' multivitamins and one of the members even drinks baby formula to grow taller.

Shortly after the broadcast, many viewers expressed that whether their diet was real or not, the whole concept was weird and creepy. Some of the opinions are:

"So since they are still growing they have to drink baby formula and take kids' vitamins but they still have to restrict their calorie intake lol Make it make sense smh"

"Whose idea was this?"

"Um...baby formulas are packed with calories what are they thinking"

"Ugh...on the bright side, at least the label didn't make her drink from a baby bottle."

"This is beyond creepy."

"It's so badly scripted. I could hardly watch."

"Where is their label? Who thought this was a good concept?"

"I can't believe I'm watching this in 2022."

"I know she is a kid but she is not a baby."

On the one hand, I want this to be something made up for the segment; on the other hand, I don’t want this to be made up for the segment because it’s sick of the company to use a literal child for a publicity stunt.

Eh from what I’ve come across, a lot of people drink baby formula in various Asian countries, usually mothers who’ve ended up tasting it because some of it tastes good and helps them out. Like evil nestles Cerelac. However, I think this is quite a different situation because they’re restricting these growing teens diets and then having her have baby formulae instead, that’s not right.

Off topic, my sister had eye surgery due to ripped retina. The eye doctor told her that those with extreme myopia (short-sightedness) had stretched retina thus prone to retina ripping. Added nutrients in the baby formula like those omega 3,6, 9 etc. helped strengthen the retina thus, highly recommended to those with extreme myopia (more than -5).

Where does it say baby formula? It said powered milk. Powered milk is just milk in powder form and shouldn’t be taken by infants. It’s used to create baby formula and can be given to babies at a certain age. But adults also buy it to store for emergencies or to make deserts and shakes. She’s probably creating a protein shake. Either a mistranslation or sensationalism for clicks.

American babies are dying from the baby formula shortage and she's out there hogging all of it.

If you would have read the news you know that they wouldn't even allow import of European formulas because of the FDA approval etc. Your joke doesn't even apply.
