I watched Produce 48 and Chaejeong took charge of her team in Round 1, came up with strategy and everything. It kind of backfired and they lost, but I remember her being a leader-type so I'm not surprised by the news tbh.

That's a good point, it is unusual that a newer member becomes a leader. Maybe they're taking the rebranding literally also because two of their members changed stage names as well.
