fromis_9's Saerom under fire for her comment when she didn't realize the group's 'V Live' had begun

A comment made by fromis_9's leader Saerom, made at the very beginning of a 'V Live' broadcast, has aroused criticism from netizens online. 

Back on February 11, fromis_9 members Jiheon, Nakyung, Saerom, Hayoung, and Jisun greeted fans with a casual 'V Live' broadcast.

However, the broadcast went live a few moments before the members realized that the cameras had begun rolling. 

While Jisun could be seen laughing about something, Saerom commented over the laughter, "I'm so sick of this. I wanna hurry up and go home, right now."

However, a few of the other members quickly realized that the live broadcast had begun, and said, "Hello~". Hayoung then leaned into Saerom to tell her that they were live, and a few more quiet moments passed before Saerom counted, "two, three" so all of the members could greet the fans together. 
 

Despite the fact that the comment was made when she was not aware that the live broadcast had begun, Saerom's remarks nonetheless did not go unnoticed by netizens, as they commented,

"If you don't want to be an idol, then just quit. Easy as that."

"If I were in an idol group and my group wasn't famous even after 5-years like them, I would be pissed too lol."

"If you don't want to do 'V Live's than go practice your vocals seriously... you can't even sing."

"They're such nobodies that this happened almost a day ago and it's still not causing that much of an issue."

"Is she saying that right in front of her company staff? And there were others laughing with her before she said that, so were they saying something related to that comment?"

"This isn't even surprising honestly. These girls always look like they're pissed."
"Nice knowing you, bye."

"You can't call this just a simple mistake because that is what she really feels, and her true feelings came out kekekekeke."

"If she said 'I'm tired', that would have been like, she had a rough day. But 'I'm sick of this'? She must really hate her life kekekekeke."

Anyways, as someone who's had to stay back at work before... same... Can't expect netizens to relate to having a job though.

I understand her and I get why she’d want to tell her group mates that. I bet their comeback schedule is hectic and who wouldn’t want to go home after a long day?Wish she had been more careful though, considering how netizens will start a witch hunt for this

to put it bluntly i think she's not that bright for saying that when they've already sat down and are about to go on vlive because who knows what could happen (as we've literally seen here) but at the same time i don't think it's the end of the world. many people feel the same way about their own jobs/school and there are undoubtedly many idols who feel the exact same way as saerom, they just haven't been exposed for it. also, i don't know how people are getting that she doesn't wanna be an idol anymore. it just seems like annoyance at a job which, as i've mentioned, happens to everyone but that doesn't mean she hates all aspects and wants to quit. maybe she does want to quit her idol career but at the same time it's likely not that deep.

Then again, older/bigger groups are probably experienced enough to know not to say this with even the hint of a camera on them.

The most she’s guilty of is that she should’ve been more careful saying something like that when they were that close to filming

People can be overworked, and sometimes they get tired from that. Are we really gonna pretend that she’s a minority amongst idols? They work hard every second & get tired afterward, so who are we to expect them to be in a positive energetic mood every millisecond even internally? 

It’s not like she said she hates her job or her fans, just tired of yet another busy schedule. Again, everyone gets tired of doing their jobs or responsibilities at some point, and always do when they’re overworked

But she should have been more careful about what she says with camera pointed at her. There were already idols and streamers who lost a lot of fans because of the same mistake.

apparently she said that about the covid restrictions, which I can understand. Im also sick of politicians and media pretending that there is a global pandemic, but then you see that they themselves dont abide by the rules they gave for normal people.
