At today's ceremony, she was one of 12 recipients for "Artist of the Year – Digital Music", with What Do I Call You being the winner for the month of December (2020).

Her speech is as follows:

"Hello, this is Taeyeon, nice to meet you. It’s been a long time since I came to an award show, so that’s why I think I’m nervous now. I came up here with that lightstick. Earlier, I was able to see Tiffany Young, my member. I feel happy to receive an award at the Gaon Chart Awards where it is heard to be the fairest of all. And I’m happy to be at a venue together with our fans for the first time in a while. Firstly, I’m honored to give thanks to all the staff who tried so hard to express the song and image of ‘What Do I Call You’ well to the listeners. I’m nervous. And to my reliable colleagues at SM, thank you sincerely. And to my family who are watching at home, thank you so much. Dad, I miss you so much. I feel great to receive an award in front of my fantastic juniors, and seniors. Thank you everyone! Thank you to the fans! SONE I love you!"
