mmm All of Snowman singles are in the top 20 of the weekly chart xd, does that count?

It's maybe a small boost but not that different from a usual week

Usually there are one or two songs that get big boosts, like LiSA and Yonezu Kenshi songs previously

Top 10 best-selling first week album (studio + greatest hits) by a 2010s- & 2020s-debuted female soloist (oricon numbers):

1. Ado - Kyougen (142,041 copies sold in first week; released on Jan 26, 2022)

2. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - Nanda Collection (126,074; Jun 26, 2013)

3. Aimyon - Oishii Pasta ga Aru to Kiite (120,169; Sep 9, 2020)

4. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - Pamyu Pamyu Revolution (71,179; May 23, 2012)

5. miwa - Delight (69,066; May 22, 2013)

6. LiSA - LEO-NiNE (66,066; Oct 14, 2020)

7. Aimyon - Shunkanteki Sixth Sense (61,654; Feb 13, 2019)

8. Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - KPP Best (52,275; May 25, 2016)

9. Sayaka Yamamoto - RAINBOW (50,375; Oct 26, 2016)

10. miwa - Oneness (50,255; Apr 8, 2015)

When you put it like that it is truly remarkable.

I wouldn't expect her to outsell Aimyon

She also outsells Kyary's biggest album in 1st week!

Yeah but I didn't think Kyary would be ahead of Aimyon either!

I was surprised because I only recognized her name from Usseewa but looking at her youtube view numbers she seems to have several big songs. I didn't love Usseewa but I should get around to checking her album out soon.

Remember when Usseewa got controversial because of the lyrics? Ado went on to have a #1 debut album with 140k+ copies 🤣

I looked it up now and that's a controversy? 🤣 Gotta love conservatives sometimes. Criticize something in society = bad, apparently

That's a million times better than the lyrics to Yoru Ni Kakeru

Even if they are a bit embarassing
