I feel like I never heard about Yujin so I’m surprised he’s so popular. If he didn’t make it in it would mean everyone in the group could be over 18 which is interesting.

 

Most likely him, Shannon, and Hao. I’m hoping Jiwoong too. Matthew, maybe Taerae now. I’m hoping for Jay and Keita who are possibilities. I’d love Hiroto and Seunghwan to round it out, but they’re even less likely (and that would make 10).

I’m starting to think we’re only gonna get 2 g group trainees atp. MNET clearly only wants Matt and Hao in the lineup and no one else. why they can’t see Keita’s potential is beyond me. Especially since his Japanese support is so large/strong and I imagine they’ll be promoting in Japan often like Kep1er.

and on the topic of Yujin. I really do not want him to debut, from Lip J (her comments this past ep do not sit well in my spirit) to his other noona fans to his fans at school, shit is really getting weird. a minor should not be debuting under these circumstances because it’s a recipe for disaster but alas

And Matthew doesnt even count as global since he's korean?.. i just hope both keita and ricky have enough support to make it to finals... finally mnet can edit and such but uranus bepler line-up depends a lot on koreans taste (and if koreans want to foreigner well, bepler wont have such)

yeah, i agree with most of what's being said here about matthew. i think he actually has quite a good and loyal fanbase. there was a poll going around a while back on korean boys planet twitter and he ranked very high among the 1 pick trainees (i think he may have been 3rd place? he wasn't in the 6 or 9 picks - forgot which one it was in this specific poll - option which i found odd but whatever) and i don't think he'd be dropped just like that. i can imagine him going down some places but i'm not sure about him just not debuting end of.

i think ricky p07 has lit a fire under riyangis asses due to the panic voting that could ensue from other 1/3 pick fanbases that may have a trainee they're voting for out of the top 9. i hope he makes it and debuts, i didn't see that possible before but now i have a slight smidgen of hope. if the ranking can be spiced up through ricky joining then by all means let's go.

I will repeat what I've read somewhere, mnet wants 3G from different countries.

Matthew is their American choice (I don’t think he was evil edited, in the end he said he wanted those English lines so his mom can understand them and be proud of him, it was a bitter sweet editing to make the episode interesting).

Zhang Hao is their Chinese choice. They obviously don’t want Zihao/Ricky and him together, one is enough. Also he is super respectful and speaks great Korean. (But not gonna lie, Ricky in the final lineup would be interesting).

As for Japanese choice, either Keita or Haruto. Haruto has better edits, so probably they would like him more, or he simply makes the episodes more entertaining, but Keita is more popular. I think them showing him in the ranking last episode means them saying “Hey guys, this one Japanese guy is very high, better choose wisely which one will be your pick”. 2 of them can’t make it, no way.

Y'all kinda of missing the fact Matthew only started getting evil edited after Kamden's spike in popularity, they probably saw the monster they created with Matthew's situation and wanted to reverse some of it with Kamden good edits. Too little too late I guess, the earlier fixed picks are the ones that mostly make it into the lineup save some exceptions (Woodz and Jisung for example).

 

Keita are Haruto were always their favorite japanese trainees, after all they both are the best at korean and anyways the most outstanding "talent"-wise.

 

They are being forced to show Zihao because of how big he is internationally btw, they just can't not show him anymore. The way he made this far with the least air time than everyone (maybe not Shuaibo but...). 

 

About Gyuvin, I think he has his fair share of 1picks but honestly to me it always felt like he had a LOT of filler picks idk

This last ep really gave Haruto such a good edit that I feel like they want Haruto more than Keita...

What does the thread think of Keita's chances to debut? 

I feel like he's one of the top 9 members that can easily drop at any moment but this week shocked me as he's P06?

Unorganized thoughts about last episode:

• Matthew segment was awkward af, boy is in desperate need of media training. It was giving self sabotage - from wanting the part because of the english lines (in a korean show) to wanting to have a bigger part than Seungeon rsrsrs. And saying that he should have gone to Switch rsrsrs oh no this ain't evil edit, he really said that rsrsrs Matthew OUT;
• Haruto the 3rd acceptable G trainee after Le Main Slayer and Rickis Hilton. "What about Keita?", you ask. Well, he can be the main vocal, main rapper, main dancer, fotg and center of Ciipher;
• Supercharger did well. Woonggi ate. Zihao and Haruto did the best overall;
• Takuto and Ollie, it's time to go boys;
• Now why does Supercharger sound good?
• En Garde is a bop. Everyone did well and it was the best stage for all of them so far IMO. Very~ balanced, they could debut like this;
• Who said El Villano wasn't a team player? He looked like a team player to me in the hidden camera part;
• Why was Jay funny this episode? Weird;
• Imagine being a global trainee seeing the koreans trainees all happy from seeing their parents meanwhile all you got was a company rep oof;
• The contrast in the editing of Say My Name team and Over Me team (trying out for parts, El Visual vs Matthew situation) rsrsrsrs;
• Switch sounds like the worst song based on the practice and previews. Park Hanbin your taste is a bit...
• Why does Taerae have to sing (and not even that well) everytime he holds a mic? Taerae OUT;
• Rickis Hilton top9 and El Visual at 15... life is fair. Looks like Over Me won looking at the voting results. However, those 2 have been trending a lot lately so the rise isn't that unexpected even without the points benefit. Any team could have won tbh;
• Sehun on sale dropping isn't that surprising either. He has the most filler votes out of F4. But that also means that En Garde probably didn't win.

Even though at this point I still think Gyuvin is considered a filler pick, I think after two weeks he will likely be voted into the top 9. Seeing the reactions to his ranking reveal makes me think he will attract enough fans who will work harder on their part to focus on voting only for him.

Sung Hanbin and Zhang Hao will both make it. It's not really surprising at this point; they were both the centers for Here I Am, and are just too popular in general now to not be considered.

Han Yujin will also make it. I've referred to him a few times as being "noona bait". I think he attracted a lot of fans, especially those who are around his age, and they are still actively voting for him. He also has a lot of fansites, which is why I think it's hard to see him not make it.

I suspect why the ranks for Park Hanbin and Lee Jeonghyeon was revealed were also because Mnet knows the lineup will likely have three Yuehua boys. And if they had the choice to manipulate the rankings, I think they would rather take out one of them. I think they are trying to encourage voters to consider one of the boys (from WakeOne) for the lineup instead, so as to bring more balance to the composition of the team.

For the most part, I still think G group trainees are fighting a losing battle. With the way that the system is designed, even with 50% Korean votes accounting for the total vote, the lineup will most likely be again dominated by K Group trainees. Ideally, I would like to see 3 G trainees, but I wouldn't be surprised if only 2 G group trainees made it either.

Agree 3G from different countries is the best outcome for the group

I don't know why they are not pushing Keita more, I fell like Haruto doesn't have chances to make it in the top9 especially with the 1pick

Also what is Mnet doing with Matthew? Those edit seems evil but also pitiful and I don't understand wanting the English lines so his mom can understand and be proud, that doesn't sound good for k-fans in anyway. Gyuvin is out (for now) if he falls off the top9 too the group might not have an English speaker
