#haruwatches 3rd mission dance practice

Commenting on this like they're the actual performances cuz I'll probably be too lazy to write paragraphs by the time this airs..

- Supercharger: Unexpectedly good!! Apparently they practiced this in three days? The dance was incredible, I'm looking forward to see the performance. Haruto fits so much at the center and I have nothing but praise for every member of the group. The only one who didn't shine that much was Takuto, imo, he doesn't really suit the concept. Side note I thought Takuto was one of the dance teachers for a sec bc of his fit.

- Switch: Is it me or are they a bit unsynchronized? Kamden seems a bit offbeat. Taerae also had a few misses, his moves weren't as energetic as the rest of the group. Phanpy, Keita and Jongwoo did well, especially Keita, he's a really good dancer. Shuaibo is there. Didn't really enjoy this one. 

- En Garde: One thing about Gunwook is he's gonna bring the ENERGY. I was a bit scared for Hiroto since he has a more cutesy image compared to the other members but he kept up well with them. Seunghwan and Junhyeon did very good too, anticipating to see them perform. Hui amazing as always. Gyuvin improved a lot compared to what was shown last episode so kudos to him. Also anticipating this one a lot!

- Say My Name: Cute feeling, fun performance, unlike the others, this one feels "friendlier" and closer to the public. Sung Hanbin was incredible, he's THE center, wouldn't put him anywhere else. Glad to see Jiwoong try something new, but he was a bit overshadowed tbh..Seungeon and Matthew did well and this is the first time Yujin does a cuter concept to it was nice to see. 

- Over Me: Slayful performance for a slayful song. Kudos to Jay for the vocals and for keeping up with the dance, as he's a weaker dancer. Zhang Hao fits this concept like a glove, I'm glad he's on this team. Ricky fits the concept a lot and has a lot of chemistry with Zhang Hao, as in they look good in a group together. The other members did well too! The rapper (Jeonghyeon?) was also really good so I'm anticipating to see the actual performance.

Supercharger = En Garde > Over Me > Say My Name >> Switch

Extra comment on Say my Name is the lineup is so unexpected, like, if the trainees didn't have the opportunity to ask for a song, none of them would be performing this one  The reason I didn't enjoy the dance practice that much is probably bc the members don't really fit the song.

Shanbin = apparently the debate is cat vs. hamster and either is fine w me

Keita = brown bunny w floppy ears

Matthew = teddy bear or koala

Taerae = frog

Haruto = fennec fox or mouse w a sprout on it's head

Yujin = some kind of long animal like meerkat, squirrel, otter, etc.

after watching each dance practice, nothing stood out as egregiously bad...but song-wise i'd probably rank en garde > say my name > supercharger = over me > switch

looking forward to the actual performances

yeah he’s apparently gone viral over there, and based on k-twitter’s (recent) 1 pick vote thing he’s in Top 9 so

If they gave Zihao 1 crumb of screentime I think he would which is why mnet never will they don't want more than 1 chinese member and are scared of his fandom. With Ricky I'm not sure because while he is mentioned more on k-forums idk if it's as a main pick or if people are just voting him in with other visuals. Jeonghyeon has the best chance since I don't think mnet minds him getting in.

many thought matthew would get "yurina'd", but from what i remember, yurina was never villainized, she didn't have the one pick power and too many thought she was safe. what is happening right now is more of a su ruiqi situation in my opinion. starting out seemingly hard pushed by mnet, a frontrunner that a majority think are a lock for the lineup. now matthew's edit started to get weird and this week it was straight up negative.

I wonder if something happened behind the scenes because they wasted so much screentime on him just to drop him now. Like he was the most pushed imo. 

Su Ruiqi was just good. Didn't get an eddit about her personality just about her skills and the screen time was limited.

personally think Gyuvin will rise again but I’m fine with him not being the group tbh, sorry to all this supporters. I just don’t feel like he adds much but I’ll have to accept that ig. I also still think Matthew is in the running too. His edit this episode wasn’t terribleee and despite Seokbin ending everything should be good! I believe both have very loyal fanbases.

As mentioned above locks: Haobin, Yujin, and I’ll even add Taerae in there

i think hao, bin, matthew, yujin and taerae will probably be in. although one of the last 3 might have a surprise drop idk

i also think gunwook has like 80% chance because he isn't anyones filler, most of his votes come from his onepick stans and he still made it that far. we won't let him down in finale

the other 3 probably jiwoong, keita (praying) and a random 9th.... i really hope it's phanbin, but i'm scared zihao might pull a bahiyyih because his fanbase is quite similar to hers  i love him but i still don't want him in the group mainly bc of his fans. those type of fans can become akgae-ish and nasty towards other members pretty fast and i fear for the peace of the fandom i have kep1er ptsd as you can tell

I wasn't sure about Zhang Hao making it until not long ago but at this point after Tomboy and now with Over Me soon, only him saying "fuck South Korea" can make him plummet, he is that safe. Ofc Shanbin shoe in since first episode. Yujin is also shoe in, SK loves him. Might lose some rank when koreans panic vote Gyuvin, but not out of top9. Taerae is imo now as safe as Shanbin. Simply because his korean vs intl ratio is astonishing, SK is all in love completely. I would give him p01 chance to pull a Chaehyun but this season has Sung Hanbin, the man closest to the myth ans legend Cai Xukun himself.

For Matthew, I think this edit came a bit too late for him to lose ranks so much. It does seem to be quite the Ruiqi situation but Matthew is K basically so.

I don't want to comment on Gunwook and Jiwoong not to curse myself, I bring at least 10 years of bad luck to everyone I stan.

Zhang Hao and Shanbin will have some out of this world points this round as they are serving as filler picks because they are safe. Not predicting final ranking for them because too early and too unsure on one pick.

This upcoming ranking might surprise us a lot on "safe" trainees and I am almost sure Jay is re-entering on high position
