JYP Entertainment announces DAY6 member Jae's departure from the band & the agency

Recommended Posts

Not a surprise that he decided to leave Day6 and JYPent, it just came earlier than I expected.

There were some

Right before the release of the 'The Book of Us : The Demon”, Sungjin and Jae decided to be on hiatus because of health reasons, physically and mental. It was big loss for the company and the group that couldn't promote during their comeback. After that, JYPent decided to debut Day6's subunit: Even of a Day. Jae talked about his poor mental health, panic attacks and anxiety during interviews, and even said JYP (himself) had helped him during this time, some months later of talking about this, Jae said it was not his choice the hiatus, but let's be honest, if JYPent had made him work while he was dealing with his mental health problems, he would have complained how he was forced to work during the "dark days".

so they're pulling a got7?

pulling a GOT7 means working on solo activities. Their drummer barely sings a line, most of the songs he doesn't have a line. Young K and Wonpil have a better chance staying in JYPent than leaving the company. Sungjin had serious mental health problems that made him go on hiatus and later to enlist earlier than expected, for him it's better to stay in a company that will not force him to promote when he doesn't feel ok to do it.

I think he's alluding to their departure

there's no Day6 out of JYPent. The company has the rights over the name and the songs. Nowadays K-companies prefer to debut their own group than manage a group from another company.

That or perhaps they'll revisit the situation when day6 is done with their enlistment. But he makes it  sound like he/they still have plans once they're done.

Jae will see how is the world out of JYPent, if he doesn't like, he'll be back home.

What a surprise. A JYPE artist not happy with the company and wants to leave. Good for him.

Just don't understand why people still signing with this company.

Jae was a contestant on K-pop Star show. He was one of eliminated participants, but JYP, who was one of the judges, decided to give him an opportunity to become a trainee under JYPent. If it was not for JYP, we would've never known the singer and Day6 member Jae.

i mean, if i was given the option of either the rose's former nugu company where you don't know that you'll be treated horribly until it's too late vs. jype, who has a reputation to hold up to, there's an obvious choice, lol.

Well, the only real difference between JYPE and some other nugu company is that there you get paid. Luckily for JYPE the bar is very low.
