I wonder what will hapen to the bullies a.k.a April

pretty sure they’ll disband, one of the members recently released a “solo” called memories of april so i’m guessing that’s what it implies. it’s also not like they’d be missed or anything lol.

April > they will probably disband

CLC > Cube is just waiting for their contracts to end, it's pretty obvious. I'm more curious if any member will re-sign solo or if Yujin NEEDS to re-new or can be a free agent while in Kep1er

Day6 > idk

DIA > MBK is probably waiting for the contracts to ends but wanna re-sign Chaeyeon.

iKon > YG bg... probable renew

Monsta X > renew

Oh My Girl > renew

Playback > set them free

Twice > Gurl, idk, I really have a question mark, can you imagine they all go and form their agency?

VAV > renew

Seventeen renewed already

Day6 has me curious. I wouldnt be surprised if Jae leaves JYPE but they all seem pretty determined to want to continue to be a band once enlistment end.

Also curious of Twice will throw us a curveball

Guess what Mimi

April: Yeah they're going to disband, probably small acting roles for a couple of them, ost work for the main vocal.

Busters: They've already disbanded and redebuted under Busters B. Then Busters B disbanded and they went back to Busters. They will be redebuting this year -- they'll start a group with new members as all of the og members have left, 1 is an actress, 1 is in Kep1er, and 1 is currently competing in My Teenage Girl. Their new leader is a 12 year old. Mess.

CLC: I think they will disband but before they do, they may release something like a last song, similar to what Sistar did because Eunbin said they had filmed for a comeback. Or they disband and give the comeback song to Lightsum instead. Yujin will go to Kep1er, I think a couple of the members may go the songwriting route (Seunghee, Yeeun), I think Seungyeon may go solo or try a subunit. Eunbin will probably try acting ngl.

Day6 will also disband. It's a no brainer. Jae left ofc, but I don't see any of the members renewing with JYP, however I do think the rest of the members will be active in the music industry, in some way or the other.

DIA will probably disband. Somyi has left, Huihyeon, Eunice, Jueun, Yebin, Chaeyeon, and  Eunchae are left. MBK has closed down and they're under PocketDol now. Chaeyeon's father has had disputes with the agency for a long time as well. Chaeyeon will continue her acting/modelling/everything else career, but I'm very sad for the rest of the members. Their comebacks got cancelled too. Huihyeon is still on variety though.

iamnot is a band, and they have been inactive since 2018, they've pretty much disbanded as one of the members redebuted as a solo singer, Lim Heonil.

Ikon is the question here, most YG boy groups renew because that's the only way they can guarantee financed activities but I wouldn't be shocked if Ikon move to a sublabel or a YG-related company since they may want to reunite with BI. Bi produced all their music, they're still close, and a lot of the Ikon members probably want to settle down anyways, like Bobby.

Map6 had 3 members just come out of the military, Sign is still in the military until March 2022. Sun needs to enlist. It's possible they disband since many of the members have produced self-written solos on soundcloud. Their agency is also really bad and is low on finances. Highly recommend their songs, they're good!

Melomance are a duo and haven't released anything since 2019. They still promote very often, I just went to see Wendy and them on her radio show. They are also quite popular in Korea. They'll probably renew.

Monsta X I think will renew. They're really popular in Korea and abroad, even when they're enlisting in the military. I've always seen them as our generation's Block B, or basically a group in limbo thanks to the company. Monsta X are however an older group, a lot of them have health struggles, and I wouldn't shocked if they disband, and I see Jooheon and IM having big solo careers in particular. They really carried Starship bgs. Monbebes are also very loyal as well.

Oh My Girl will basically renew. They've finally got momentum after so many years, and most of the members have renewed already. I am a bit iffy on if Seunghee renews or not. She's struggled with her self-image, and weight for many years -- I really feel for her. Oh My Girl hit #1 with a random single earlier this week as well, they're doing super well and are digimons.

Playback the girl group disbanded in 2018 -- their official accounts are closed. There are 2 members still in the company though, Yunji and Eunjin.

Pretty Brown are a duo and not really what I'd call kpop. They are under Brand New Music and will probably renew, they're doing decent. But considering both members have families, and 1 member has children so I understand if they want to focus on family.

Romeo the band? Bro one of their most popular members had a scandal asking an underage Japanese fan to go to a room with him. He got kicked so now they're 6 members -- only 4 members are active now. I can see the Mixnine guys continuing but I don't see the rest renewing.

Rubber Soul aren't kpop! They're a hip hop duo! Poor them, they went on UnPretty Rapstar and everything and no one cared. They're disbanding. A shame -- they were a great female hip hop unit!

Snuper -- one member Sebin is in another group, OmegaX, and they're on hiatus, their companies are still uploading birthdays and everything because they're decently popular in Japan. They will be disbanding probably.

Twice: This has been speculated on a lot, I do see some of unnie line continuing with kpop, but I can think of a few members who may leave. They haven't gotten any sort of proper solo promo for many of the girls so I understand. Also JYP bans their foreign idols from debuting in Korea under a JYP contract, so Momo/Mina/Sana/Tzuyu can't really do solo music (if they want to) under JYP in Korea. Only can do Japan/China.

Up10tion are under Top Media and it's obvious what they are doing. They're going to have comebacks up till the contract date, and the company will disband the group and only offer the popular soloists contracts. A lot of Up10tion fans are mad about it but there's really nothing that can be done. They're promoting the group as 7 and 3 soloists -- the SUJU strategy.

VAV are under A team lmao, they'll be disbanded so Ryan Jhun can focus on Bugaboo, his new girl group. The company has not helped nor promoted VAV when they were going through the military, and ended up with a lot of problems with them not paying people...etc. It's sad.

Jackson! I feel like JYP would have been more lenient on J-line though but then Sana had her scandal, and you know how JYP acts.

Edit: This wasn't always the case but Fei's debut did bad so that was when we started hearing about "extra" contract clauses.

Been thinking about this now that we have two group disbandments for 2022 and a lot of contract renewals are approaching.

April: already disbanded

CLC: de-facto already disbanded, even if they all stay with Cube they will never have group activities again

DIA: will disband

Day6: aren't their contracts frozen because of the military so we won't know? anyways, don't know enough about their personal feelings to tell

EXO: i'm also confused by this because of the military freezing their contracts. regardless, i think they're too big to disband. at worst, they end up in an SNSD situation

ikon: given that most of YG boy groups renew, they'll probably renew. their only issues are that they're no longer popular so maybe YG will offer them poorer terms.

Monsta X: i think they'll renew because their contracts expire in May but their tour dates are in May and June, so either they already renewed and Starship is sitting on their hands to announce it, or the tour contract is somehow different from their group contracts. Either way they have a high chance of renewing because they're  a boy group and they bring in too much money for Starship to let them go.

NU'EST: already disbanded

N.Flying: already renewed

Oh My Girl: already mostly renewed

Seventeen: already renewed

Twice: the only issues are that they're less popular in Korea, they have no true solo careers, and some of them have health issues, but i feel like they're still money-makers that they'll mostly all renew

Up10tion: will disband

Idk anything about Bursters, Map6, Playback, Snuper, Romeo, or VAV. But since a Snuper memeber is in Omega X, I assume that group is functionally dead.

People need to stop this stupid narrative.

They're TWICE, don't need no hype. TWICE don't need solo activities to be popular. (And they have been doing few solo activities for the pass 3 years, lol. For this year allow, which we see an increase in their solo activities: Mina has 2 brand deals, Sana & Dahyun has 1 duo brand deal, Tzuyu has 1 brand deal, Sana is constantly advertising for PRADA & Nayeon is constantly advertising for that jewelry brand & Louis Vuitton, she's even appearing in a Magazine thus month to promote the jewelry brand + the girls are appearing on solo magazines & releasing their own solo photoshoots. Sure, their solo activities isn't a lot, but it's gradually increasing).

TWICE members are still popular than some other group who's members get solo activities. TWICE brand is already too big for them to be recognized easily. Sure, they would've been bigger if they were promoted more solo. Jihyo 1st OST had multiple #1s & even charted on all k-charts, without being promoted. Sana’s photobook sold over 100k, not even album but a photobook. Tzuyu 1st solo magazine sold over 80k its the highest selling idol magazine in Korea. Nayeon & Jeongyeon is still manage to rank higher on year ènd polls without no solo activities, even higher that girl group members that had solo activities.

And only one TWICE member currently has health issues. And only two of them had major health issues over 6 years together.
