I didn't like Twice when they first debuted but I became a fan of them when What Is Love came out and now I'm a full-fledged ONCE.

same lmao, when i got into kpop i didn't really like cute concept (still not my cup of tea) so i wasn't really into ggs in general, now twice is my 8th top group on spotify

so for the better:

twice as stated above

itzy, i didn't like their debut but now they're one of my top ggs

for the worse:

nct, they were one of my top groups but i dont vibe with their music lately

oh my girl, i liked their dreamy titles but their latest releases aren't my cup of tea

I completely ignored Enhypen's existence for months because I was mad Nicholas got eliminated in I-Land

Now I love them and Jungwon is one of my ults

And TO1, I really wanted to stan them because I loved a lot of their music but the amount of weird rumors surrounding them put me off and now I can't even listen to their songs

For the better: ATEEZ, I’ve basically been an anti since their debut but really enjoyed The Real and decided to give their content a watch and started to like them quite a lot.

For the worse: TO1, for the same reason the user above mentioned. I didn’t feel comfortable following them anymore after all of that.

My opinion regarding certain groups has certainly changed, for the better or worse. I actually like checking new releases from most groups and sometimes I vibe with them and sometimes no. During my first year as a kpop fan I was set on just stanning f(x) because I was young and dumb and I couldn't even bother on checking other groups. I remember not liking some of their songs that much, but still loving some tracks on the album. But they still remained my top group till disbandment.

One of the first groups I checked apart from f(x) was SHINee, because of year-end collabs (I mean they were basically bro-sis groups so) and then their live stages: Sherlock-stranger and I WAS SOLD (live vocals + Taemin dance break - too much). My first comeback with them was the misconceptions series which overall have pretty good tracks. From then onwards, they were a miss or hit 4 me but I still check their music (Mainly my bias in that group, Taemin).

I'm pretty sure from 2012 till now I have checked many kpop groups, and gave their songs a try (I mean, most groups have at least one song I might like). Sometimes it was just about a single, or album, or maybe a performance, and if I liked it enough I checked other releases or upcoming ones. That said, there are many groups that put out music that isn't up my alley, so I don't think I changed my mind about the group per se, mainly I just dislike their music, or like their music. In the end, this varies quite a lot because they might release stuff I dont like for 3 eras but then I like their release on the last 4 and that would mean I do like their group, even if previously i didnt like it. F.e, I would say lately I'm loving what's been released by Itzy (didnt like previous releases earlier), StayC(didnt like debut track), Purple kiss (same), TRI.BE (their earlier songs were ok but their mini is BOPish), Apink (this is funny cuz I liked them, then disliked till I'm so sick and now i like them), etc. And I might not like what TWICE, BLACKPINK, MAMAMOO, etc have released overall but oh well, I'm always ready for new music :)

Hmmm... I have quite a few, but they aren't very drastic changes

GOT7 - Was interested when they released 'Just Right', absolutely loathed every release after that ('If You Do' is great though)

WINNER - Absolutely loved them, but after Taehyun left I got worried about the change in sound. Stopped caring soon after, 'Love Me Love Me' is the last song I liked. I loved Mino's debut album though!

Zico - Not a group obviously, but I was a big fan of Block B & Zico's music (I Am You, You Are Me was that song for me). Can't look at him the same now.

Jung Joon Young - Once again, not a group, and also very self explanatory. Had to mention him because my old username on this site was a reference to one of his songs, and I bought his albums. I'm still bitter tbh

iKON - Return was an amazing album, one of my favourites of 2018. Never really cared about the members, but losing Hanbin really hit them hard imo

Pentagon - Stopped caring immediately after E'Dawn/Dawn left. He was my bias, and I think his style was essential to how much I liked the group. I am happy for him and Hyuna though, they are super cute

NCT - I remember 127's debut like it was yesterday, and I was excitedly anticipating their careers going forward. Over time I became frustrated with the project (I really hate the concept, SM is terrible at managing so many people) and the sub-units kept getting more and more bloated. Music wise, largely hit or miss for me.

This was really fun ngl, I wish I could think of more

Minx. I'm only so-so into them, but not until they re-debut into Dreamcatcher changing concept, which completely blown my mind. I think I can also put GWSN as one of that those that I didn't thought I like them.

For the groups that make me detached as I grow to know them, I would say I lost interest to Secret, Nature, probably DIA too?

idk, i probably lost interest in enhypen? maybe it's the constant pann hate and overblown hate getting to me, but a few members have been giving me weird vibes as of recent, lol. they're still talented and their songs are great, but i only really follow sunoo and jake nowadays, tbh. same with nct. that earthquake thing is just dumb of them but at least jisung was smart and he's my bias sooooo.

I used to be crazy about Kard back when they debuted in 2017, partly because their concept of a coed group was so cool and refreshing. Loved all their releases until You in Me and then lost interest around Bomb Bomb era. I still listen to their old songs but don't find their new stuff interesting. And since Somin was my bias, it's unlikely that I'll become a fan again after the April bullying mess.

I never cared for ateez and just on look, actually I liked Treasure a lot, but I generalized their other songs as just noise. But earlier this yr I started actually listening to them and I love really all their songs

For worse... I think I'll say Pentagon. I still love music and like the members and everything but I'm just more a Kino fan than Anything and hope once ptg run it's course he has plentiful solo career. But I don't hope they're disband swiftly or sumn hhh. I think I'd be more open to ptg if.. Actually a problem I have honestly is how I've been hoping they cb with a kino title track or sumn. Bc I like his music out of all the ptg members who can make songs (almost all of them BTW) but I have a feeling cube too reliant on hui and not having faith in the rest. I'd be here for solos of several ptg members but just mostly kino. Or maybe cube was just waiting for jinho bc I see they have cb soon. I'll be indignant if it's a hui (from the vault) tracks or not self produced like 99% ptg music has been since 2017. But I wouldn't put that past cube. Fk this makes me sound like hui anti but I'm not i just wish cube utilized and gave opportunities to all them when p much all them r solid song writers

All my faves, lol.

TWICE. I didn't like LOA at first & Linda ignore for a few days, but after hearing CU which is better than LOA imo + I liked Jeongyeon, I started to flow them.

Red Velvet. They are one of my faves now. I like their since the begging but I didn't care for them until I watched their variety show.

Itzy. I didn't care for them debut was great but not enough make me stan them. I change my mind after the release ICY.

As for others. I followed GOT7, BTS, EXO for a short period of time, but lose interest over time.

For the better..

all my fav GGs lol

  • Twice, when they first debuted i honestly didn't bother to check them out, and wasn't impressed by LOA, and the least likable member then is my bias now.
  • Red velvet, Happiness was not it but then slowly their music started to grow on me.
  • OMG, i actually was very neutral towards them till i started to check them out, and fell in love with their music
  • Sf9 i was not impressed with their concept, i thought they were tacky but after kingdom everything changed..
  • Ateez, i thought their music was noisy and they seemed to me like they were trying so hard, and wasn't impressed with them being labeled as BTS 2,  until i gave them a fair chance and checked all their music..they are amazing!
  • Nuest, I didn't like their style when they first debuted, but because of Baekho i decide to give them a chance and now I'm a fan!

For the worst

  • EXO, i was a fan but now  I'm not fond of some of the members and i completely lost interest in their music.
  • NCT I was never a fan but some of their songs were ok, now, i cannot digest anything they release, and i also don't like some  of the members.
  • BP i used to be a fan of their early releases, now i'm really tried of their noisy music and recycled concepts,  maybe this will change when they try something a bit different because i don't even like all the solos so far too.
  • Aespa, when they debuted i actually thought the have a lot of potential, but then again just like BP they keep on recycling their concepts and music, and that ai-sh*t is just so tacky and cheap i cannot with it, they should get rid of it.
  • BTS they had few really good releases but then i lost interest with their music, it is not my cup of tea.

Now because of their recent title tracks they keep reminding me of nickelback

Havent's laughed this hard in months,  THANK YOU

BTS. I didn't like them at first. They seemed try-hards. I mean probably I should've listened to their albums not only their title tracks. And I didn't like it how it was Jungkook, Namjoon and the group, maybe some  rapline and Jimin shouting -sorry don't know the technical term- at the end. They grew on me like a lot and by INU's combeack I was an army.

i'd say nct for worse; i was soooo into them at first and for a long time but recently i began to dislike some in-group dynamics, some members' way of thinking and lastly the earthquake comments made me stop checking them completely (except for ten). i was especially disappointed in johnny

blackpink and twice for better; i used to dislike both groups because twice was too cutesy for me and blackpink didnt feel like a idol group to besides other issues but i like them both now.

itzy txt; i'm kinda neutral about them like i used to be a fan but now not really.
