How come IVE didn't end up like post-IOI groups?

I expected good physical sales because Iz*One's fandom was crazy huge but the digital sales??? Iz*One charted decently but they didn't really have a hit as outstanding as downpour or Very Very Very. Yet with IOI having all the public attention, the groups all failed minus WJSN which got stuck in mid-tier with physical sales hard-carrying their lackluster digital sales.

And since IVE started even stronger that Iz*One, do you think they could surpass them possibly?

(BTW just so I assure, I love post IOI groups specially DIA & do not mean to bring them down here. It should be obvious to most people that I am just trying to discuss the sales how they are)

- Different period/time.

- Most of IOI did debuted with hype (eg: Pristin & Weki Meki) but lost it over time.

- IVE just debut who knows what could happen. Pristin was the top rookie GG of 2017, look how they ended.

- Izone/Produce48 was way more popular then IOI/Produce101.

- They have the center member (ie Wonyoung). Somi was IOI's center but she debuted 2 years after they disbanded, she would've done better if she debuted few months after IOI disbanded + she's a soloist.

- They debuted with a okay song.

There were barely any outstanding groups debuting the year which Pristin did. Their sales were good (Although Weki Meki did better in that terms) and digitally it pretty much meant nothing, they were the "ROTY" because all other rookies were even weaker digitally. If comparing 2016 roty (blackpink), 2015 (Twice/gfriend) 2018 (Gidle), Pristin's digital charting would be below average. LOVELYZ who didn't manage to win the 2014/2015 roty due to the competition was doing better than Pristin, per say.

Also IzOne's fandom is way bigger than IOI sure, but none of their songs were digitally as big as Very Very Very or Downpour.

Edit: What I mean by this is that IVE's debut is by far bigger than any post-IOI group, although it is always possible that hype will die down later and their debut becomes their biggest song since this occasionally happens in Kpop.
