Is ITZY in danger or are they too established to be affected by JYPn?

I remember when ITZY were coming out there weren't a lot of Twice fans complaining about it being too soon.  Perhaps it was because Twice had already hit major career peaks by then so the fans weren't worried.  These days however, I see a lot of ITZY fans saying that JYP is rushing the new girl group even tho the time frame is about the same as it was for Twice and Itzy.  With the new girls getting praise for their vocals I wonder if ITZY fans are sensing danger.  Of course we don't know JYPn's concept yet, but I have a feeling it won't stray far from the teen crush concept that ITZY are currently occupying.  What do you think?  Are ITZY quirky enough to stand out like f(x) did during SNSD's reign?  Or will they be overshadowed like CLC vs G-idle?

Itzy will probably start to do tours next years, that means they are pretty safe.

JYPn in the other hand has some serious difficulties to overcome when they debut. I doubt they will have a particularly outstanding debut, given the lack of hype.

But they are clearly in position to replace twice because whether they leave or not, JYPE will lose money, so they need a new cash cow to milk since Itzy didn't pan out as they intended.

JYPE is getting so cheap they don't even do the TV show thing anymore, but I guess it does make sense, because in the end they will still make bank with these new groups, so why bother doing the whole circus they used to do.

If the new girls group peak higher than Itzy, I might see a slight overshadow, because they'll share resources. But not as bad as clc and g-idle. G-idle won a music show before clc, but itzy is pretty successful in this department.

I think they're trying to set up the ngg as particularly different from ITZY--looks like we're getting a solid vocal line (I didn't have JYP group has best vocal line of all active ggs on my kpop bingo sheet but I digress), as opposed to the performance-heavy concept ITZY does.  But even if the GP turns their focus to ngg, ITZY has proved themselves to have an incredibly solid fanbase.  Their album neared half a million sales.  They'll be fine even if their charting starts to fall (like Twice).

I agree with the other comments I think they'll be fine, although I could see JYPn doing better domestically especially if they are going the vocal route (although I wouldn't be sure of that since it's really only 3/7 that are notable) but I don't see Itzy's current fandom going anywhere. If mnet does another queendom though, they should definitely go on because the domestic boost wouldn't hurt as covid set them back imo.

I don't think they'll be overshadowed like the CLC and Gidle situation. Itzy has made a name for themselves and able to chart well and successfully. They're quite popular still. They have had some hit songs and far from being nugus/unsuccessful. They were never even in Twice's shadow tbh although they're never as successful as the latter. However, I get what you mean...they're just not doing that hot nowadays and there's this fear that once the new gg debut, JYPE may end up abandoning them or not paying much attention to them anymore (which is already happening but it might get worse next year). The way I see it... JYPE seems to be taking notes from SM, I say this because Itzy is like the f(x) of JYPE in the way that their music is experimental, alternative and different than Twice (the SNSD of JYPE) and we all know how SM treated f(x)... they're not treated as priority. The fans of Itzy reminded me of f(x)'s fans in the way they're worried and feeling insecure once the next gg debuts, worried the girls will be pushed aside. But imo Itzy seems to be in a better position that f(x) was imo. Still making multiple cbs (two or three) in one year whereas f(x)'s activities and cbs were scarce, they were lucky if they get one cb per year. Itzy will still be active next year so I wouldn't worry too much. But you just need to expect the focus will be shifted to the next new thing.

I've been following kpop for more than 10 years, I've seen it all and I can tell how Kpop companies operate tbh. "Out with old and in with the new" is basically their motto. They not a charity organization and they treat idols as disposable and replaceable products. Even nation's gg like SNSD were treated as such. Twice used to be so huge but look at them now JYPE barely promoted them anymore and it's like they couldn't care less. The new gg is going to debut in 2-3 months and it's unsurprising and expected the company is shifting their focus and priority towards their new project. Just that it sucks they've been neglecting the existing current group. Yeah it sucks when you've grown attached to a  favorite group and then seeing them being push to the side and not being the center of attention. I've become numb to this.
