He's been in China the past few months working on a drama and more things, I think.

Since WinWin is in China I thought he would at least be able to record his lines and participate in the album vocally? I didn’t think he would just straight-up not participate in this comeback.

His drama didn’t start filming until the end of October, since albums are usually planned in advance they could have had plenty of time to record his lines.

I’m not surprised Lucas isn’t here (though his fans are furious), though I was expecting there to be new members in this since we are apparently getting a new NCT unit next year?

Regardless of whether you think Lucas is innocent, guilty, or somewhere in between, it's probably the best for his career long-term (and for NCT in general) for him to sit this one out. His scandal just happened 3 months ago, so he should be on hiatus for longer if he doesn't want his controversy to be stirred up again. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Irene was on hiatus for over a year... so SM is probably going to let him sit out for at least that long. NCT and WayV have enough members to keep functioning for now, and as for SuperM, Baekhyun is going to be in the military until the end of 2022.

I'm glad the teasers are starting to roll out. I like the pops of blue in their outfits.

I'm a bit surprised Winwin isn't included but at the same time his career in China was put on the backburner, SM is to blame, for far too long so I'm glad he's finally making moves there. He deserves it.

1. Red Velvet situation was much different. They were already inactive at the time of Irene’s scandal. NCT is still a very active group

2. She was on hiatus for 9 months. She only had a OST & her drama release during those 9 months (since they were film before the scandal). She also did some birthday lives & performed 1 concert during her hiatus.

um I'm not comparing their careers or NCT to Red Velvet, I'm just trying to get an idea of how long Lucas's hiatus might be by looking at other SM idols that have had recent scandals. Whether it was 9 months or a year, Irene, Chanyeol, etc were all on a hiatus for longer than 3 months (which is how long it's been since Lucas's scandal).
