Today is Leo's birthday and he held a V-Live to celebrate. He talked to fans about various topics and one topic that he talked about is the IG pic with EXO's Xiumin.

• Someone asked what his and Xiumin's relationship are and he said is one of the three friends he's closest in life
• About the photo, the two of them just really felt good
• Xiumin just had a show and Leo's concert that day got cancelled
• Xiumin knows the passcode to his house
• They had wine, there was another guy there, and Leo and Xiumin were doing skinship
• Leo insisted that they do a lot of skinship but not "weird skinship"
• That day Leo and Xiumin were doing whatever they are doing in the viral photo and the other guy thought they were cute so he took a photo of them
• He said the picture looks cute
• On the morning, when they woke up, he saw that he confessed "I love you" to Xiumin and he found it so cringey so he suddenly deleted it
• They are "really close friends"
• He said they have good friendship, good skinship, and they hug
• "We do things we don't do with others"

I guess doing this is just how they do skinship as friends

There also was a time yesterday, since it's winter already, he opened his window and listened to Miracles in December and it reminded him of Xiumin so he texted him "I listened to this song and I remembered you".

Basically Leo just insisted that they're just friends with very unconvincing explanations. I do hope their friendship (if they are just close friends) didn't get too affected negatively because of this. Of course only they know what they are to each other and whatever connection they have, be it platonic or romantic, all I can do is hope they're happy!

I don't know if this is a translation error or that this was literally translated (so when things that are meant figurative get lost in context) but it sounds like friends with benefits. It also reminds me that there is a double standard that women can do this and not be considered gay but men can't. But some men also think women are supposedly all "a little bit bisexual or gay" naturally and some man has done research to "prove" that theory but it likely is inconclusive.
