BBC under fire for not including Vivi, Haseul, & Yeojin in Hula Hoop promo

My Everything

Loona uploaded these solo fancams of their hula hoop song and all the girls are filmed wearing their hula hoop MV outfits behind a white backdrop while vivi, haseul, & yeojin were filmed in practice clothes at the bbc dance practice studio

Coincidentally, these were the same girls that were left out of their skoolooks ad

one of the reasons i stopped being an orbit, as well as the music not being to my liking anymore, was how incompetent the company was - especially regarding the less popular members and as someone who had haseul as my #1 bias wayyyyy over everyone in the group it really hurt and i just didn't wanna deal with that anymore, especially with the lack of communication during her hiatus. i don't know how orbits do it.

yeah 😬 it sucks bc a member for every month of the year is such a creative and cool sounding concept but the way it has been executed has been so awful. it's not even just about line distribution bc that's a problem for most large groups (although i do think line distribution actually is a big problem for them bc haseul is arguably one of the best vocalists in the group yet will get like 5 seconds each title track) but also the way they just treat these 3 members specifically like they don't exist. it happened before with an advertisement poster loona had a year or so ago where every single member was included except for haseul, vivi and yeojin even though they were at the photoshoot

I disagree completely the 'girl of the month' concept is what got them their huge fandom in the first place and groups like Seventeen prove that 10+ member groups can be very successful and have their own benefits. The reason why ggs in particular like wjsn and loona have trouble with this is because of the obsession the companies have with finding a 'it girl' rather than promoting the group as a whole. Izone had less of this problem because the girls all had their own companies looking after them and a limited time frame that put the focus on group promotions and look how successful they were. The problem isn't members it's management.

sorry but what did people honestly expect, her hiatus was announced in late 2019, then again one day before [#] teasers, same for[12:00]. the girls constantly mentioned meeting haseul and she was still credited in albums/merch...bbc is a mess but no one was entitled to details of her mental health

on topic, this is weird and a bit annoying but in the end they're still quick tiktok videos

I disagree, completely. Especially with the buzz they had.

They have enough members to be pushed and do everything without beung over worked. With the number of fans, the company would have focused on making sure each members gets to promotes somewhere and if they have no job, well just create one by just creating a web show. When you have smalll groups with no budget who can create their bootleg radio show, many Q&A and live and even their bootleg variety and reality show with no budget and no sponsor. LOONA had one point literally had an app concurrent to VLIVE investing in them. If they took that opportunity to do everything.
